ticketmaster facebookFacebook started out back in the day as a means for people from universities and colleges to connect. Fast forward to today, Facebook is now a place for people to network, whether it be because you are fans of a certain product, band, hobby, and etc. It has also become a marketplace where people can buy and sell certain things directly on the social network itself.

Now if you attend concerts and events from time to time, chances are you might purchase your tickets from Ticketmaster, and the good news is that soon you won’t even have to leave Facebook to make your purchases. The company has recently announced that in the coming weeks, customers will soon be able to purchase tickets from Ticketmaster directly within Facebook.

Speaking to BuzzFeed News,  Dan Armstrong, VP and GM of distributed commerce at Ticketmaster said, “By putting the ability to buy tickets directly within Facebook we hope that we’re going to provide a more seamless purchase experience and sell more tickets.” In a way this makes a lot of sense especially when you consider that Facebook allows users to setup events, so being able to purchase a ticket directly to said event would no doubt be a huge convenience.

However we should note that while tickets will be directly purchasable from Facebook, users will still need to claim their tickets via the Ticketmaster website or app.
