MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES

MARVEL’S JESSICA JONES

When it comes to Marvel’s TV series on Netflix, there were plans for four series: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, although recently the Punisher TV series for Netflix has also been greenlit. Luke Cage is expected to be released later this year, and presumably in 2017 we will finally get a taste of Iron Fist.

For those hoping for a bit more details about the show, it has recently been confirmed that Carrie-Anne Moss will be reprising her role as Jeri Hogarth in Iron Fist. For those unfamiliar, Moss was in Jessica Jones where she played a similar character, but given that Hogarth’s role in the comics is more pronounced when it comes to Iron Fist, we can only imagine that she will have a larger role to play.

Just in case you didn’t know, Hogarth is actually named Jeryn Hogarth in the comics and is a male character, but Netflix/Marvel decided to shake it up a bit by changing the character to female and casting Carrie-Anne Moss, who has done a pretty good job of playing the role. According to Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb, “Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into Marvel’s Iron Fist.”

“As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand, so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.” In the meantime the role of Danny Rand/Iron Fist has already been chosen and he will be played by Finn Jones, who plays Loras Tyrell in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
