bitcoin creator

You might have read recently that Australian tech entrepreneur Craig Wright had proclaimed that he is the creator of bitcoin. Even though his claim was supported by some in the industry, others were not so quick to believe that he really is the elusive creator of bitcoin, and many demanded proof that confirmed if he was indeed telling the truth. We may never know now before Wright has declined to provide proof.

For those who are unaware, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency or virtual currency that has slowly become popular. Many online services and websites are now accepting it as a form of payment.

Nobody knows the person who created this cryptocurrency but for a long the name “Satoshi Nakamoto” has been associated with bitcoin, leading many to believe that the elusive creator of this currency is Japanese.

Naturally, eyebrows were raised when Wright stepped forward and claimed that he was Nakamoto and that he was the creator of bitcoin.

Even though he had promised to provide definitive proof of his claim, Wright says that he was prepared to publish the proof of access to the earliest bitcoin keys, but now he doesn’t want to. “I do not have the courage. I cannot,” he wrote.

“When the rumours began, my qualifications and character were attacked. When those allegations were proven false, new allegations have already begun. I know now that I am not strong enough for this,” he says before ending his post with “I’m sorry” and “goodbye.”

This entire saga doesn’t make much sense but from the looks of it, even if Wright is who he says he is, he doesn’t want to come out with the proof now. Unless the real Nakamoto is someone else and comes forward we may never truly known the identity of the bitcoin creator.
