Say you’ve got a parent, relative, or maybe a friend who might be clueless as to what pop culture is these days and you want to educate them on it. The good news is that it looks like Netflix has a way to allow you to do that as the company has launched a new feature called Flixtape, which as its name implies, lets users create a mixtape of sorts of movies and TV shows.

These Flixtape creations can be created anyway you like, such as basing it on a genre or a theme. For example you could have a Flixtape creation based around “must see” Netflix originals, or maybe you want one that features a particular actor, or maybe you want a Flixtape based on popular TV series like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Orange is the New Black, and so on.

Unfortunately each Flixtape creation is rather short in the number of titles you can add. Each list can only contain up to 6 total entries, meaning that your selections should be concise at trying to get your point across, but other than we you can go nuts with the choices that you want to include in the list.

It also makes for a great way for friends to recommend shows to each other outside of Netflix’s recommendation algorithm. If you’d like to check it out and start creating your own Flixtape, hit up Netflix’s website for the details.
