Last year we heard the rumors that a new Diablo 3 expansion was in the works, but BlizzCon 2015 came and went without any Diablo news whatsoever, or at least nothing major. We have since heard rumors that Diablo 4 might be the next title and several recently sighted job listings have indicated that Blizzard is working on something Diablo related.The good news is that this year’s BlizzCon could indeed have some major Diablo news. This is according to a tweet by the official Diablo account in which they responded to a fan hoping for more Diablo announcements at BlizzCon this year. The tweet reads, “BlizzCon will be really cool this year :-)”.
Now for all we know, this could simply be Blizzard’s social media manager trying to say that overall, BlizzCon this year should prove to be cool regardless of whether or not there are Diablo announcements. Alternatively it could be that they are hinting that it will be cool because there will be Diablo related announcements, so we guess it could be taken either way.
We suppose maybe we shouldn’t get our hopes up for now, but if you are really hoping to see a new Diablo game, do check back with us during BlizzCon 2016 for the details. The event will be taking place from the 4-5th of November and the virtual tickets are currently on sale.
