With Pokemon’s reputation and popularity reaching out far and wide, it isn’t surprising if a fan made project popped up every now and then. However it seems that there has been one particular project that has been in the works for close to a decade, or rather 9 years to be more specific.

Dubbed Pokemon Uranium, the game has finally been launched. Developed by JV and Involuntary Twitch and the Uranium Team, this game will feature a brand new region called Tandor. From what we can tell in the graphics and gameplay, both developers have stayed true to the signature looks and style of the Pokemon franchise. It will feature 150 new Pokemon as well as a new Pokemon type, which judging from the game’s name shouldn’t be surprising: the Nuclear type.

It will also come with other features such as online trading and battling. As for the platforms that it can be played on, it seems that the game was not created for mobile, nor was it created for Nintendo’s handhelds. Instead it appears to be a game created for the PC. Gamers who are interested can find it available for download here. Alternative you can watch the trailer above to get an idea of what to expect. With the popularity surrounding Pokemon GO, its developers have certainly chosen a good time to launch the game.
