We’re not sure what is up with HP and backpacks these days, but it looks like the company has recently taken the wraps off their latest creation, the Powerup Backpack. On the surface the backpack doesn’t look like much and is pretty standard as far as backpacks are concerned, but hidden under the hood is where the magic is.

This backpack actually packs a whopping 22,400mAh battery which means that for the most part, it should be capable of charging your smartphone 8-10 times over, or if you’re so inclined, you could even charge your laptop, so if you’re rushed for time and forgot to bring your charging cable, the Powerup Backpack will get the job done.

The backpack will also come with heat sensor monitors, regulars, and vents to ensure that it doesn’t get too hot and that it (hopefully) doesn’t explode while on your back. That being said, as pointed out by The Verge, the FAA has stated that batteries over 100 watt-hours are prohibited from being checked in or carried onto planes.

The good news is that the HP Powerup Backup is rated 84 watt-hours which means you should be good to go, however this rule might differ in other countries, so if you travel a lot this could be problematic. However if you love the idea, the HP Powerup Backpack is priced at $200 and will be released on the 1st of October 2016, and you can pre-order it from Amazon.
