twitch_cheeringA couple of months ago, game streaming platform Twitch announced a new feature called Cheering. This was basically a new way for streamers to get tip (which also means that they get paid), which in turn would entice more streamers to come on board Twitch as opposed to other streaming platforms like YouTube Gaming.

However at the time of announcement, the feature was only open to selected streamers, but the good news is that if you are a Twitch streamer that was not part of the initial selection, you’ll be pleased to learn that Twitch has announced that the Cheering feature will now be open to all gamers in the US and the UK.

The company also adds that streamers in Europe can also look forward to the feature arriving towards the end of August, with other countries being added to the list in the future as localization will be added. However Twitch also notes that while the feature is being rolled out to gamers, it is still considered to be in beta.

“Although we are expanding Cheering to many more users on Twitch, it is still a beta. There is so much more to come for Cheering, and you’ll continue to see changes and improvements over time.” In any case this is still pretty good news for streamers who are hoping to make a living out of this. In the meantime for those who are confused about the feature, you’ll be able to learn more about it in this FAQ.
