Bezel-less smartphones are suddenly all the rage these days and Xiaomi really sparked out imagination by showing off the Mi Mix which the company says has a display-to-body ratio of impressive 91.3 percent. Samsung is believed to be doing something similar with the Galaxy S8. Huawei is a company on a mission to become the world’s leading smartphone manufacturer in two years and it appears that the Chinese giant is working on a similar device.

A post on Weibo – China’s equivalent of Twitter – today suggests that Huawei might have a bezel-less smartphone in the pipeline.

It’s apparently going to have a “quad-edge” screen which basically means that the display is going to be curved on all four sides, top and bottom corners included. If that is the case, it’s truly going to be a border-less and bezel-less smartphone, something very different from the smartphones that are currently available.

No further details have been revealed at this point in time so it’s unclear if the company is only going to show off this device as a concept or if it’s actually going to bring it to market.

Huawei hasn’t dropped any hints about such a device as yet but if really is in the pipeline, we’re bound to hear more rumors and reports about it until Huawei makes it official.
