Huawei has introduced the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5-inch PaperMatte Edition, a tablet designed for students and young professionals. It offers several features, including the PaperMatte Display, which provides a paper-like viewing and writing experience with eye protection, pen-on-paper writing, and smooth touch controls.

The PaperMatte Display reduces screen glare, utilizing anti-glare etching technology to eliminate 97% of environmental light interference, making it ideal for various activities, from entertainment to education and office work. This tablet holds TÜV Rheinland Reflection Free and SGS Low Visual Fatigue Premium Performance Certifications (focusing on eye strain reduction) and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free certifications (to minimize blue light exposure and screen flickering).

E-Book Mode, 120 Hz, and Pen-on-Paper Writing

For a reading experience closer to a real book, users can enable the Color e-Book Mode, which the company says “displays thousands of colors accurately, creating an immersive view”; Oh, and a nice thing to know is that the tablet’s display is both fingerprint-resistant and responsive (120Hz high refresh rate).

The Pen-on-Paper Writing experience promises tactile feedback offering things like tap sounds, rustling effects, vibrations, resistance, and anti-reflection capabilities — Users can further enhance their writing experience with the HUAWEI M-Pencil (2nd generation) and the HUAWEI Notes (an included self-developed note-taking app). Features like the split-screen mode can be a great help when multitasking.

The Huawei Matepad 11.5-inch Papermatte Edition

The PaperMatte Edition MatePad boasts a 2200 x 1440 resolution display, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and supports HarmonyOS 3.1. It offers a wide range of features, including AI Noise Cancellation for mobile meetings, Wi-Fi 6 technology for reliable connectivity, and PC-level WPS Office for document editing.

Powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the tablet has fast wireless network connectivity and can, according to the brand, offer a long battery life. A Quad-speaker system and Histen audio algorithms can help in the audio department for entertainment.
