The Google app is pretty powerful as it’s capable of providing information about meetings, reminders, weather, news, and just about everything in between. The app displays the information in the form of cards which are easy on the eyes. However, it’s possible for some information to get buried under a plethora of updates and suggestions so in the interest of keeping things tidy, the company has updated its mobile app with a news feed.

With the update that has been rolled out today, the Google mobile app is now going to break up the information cards in two separate feeds: “Upcoming” and “Feed.”

All of the information will no longer be displayed in one massive list. Instead, the Upcoming tab is going to exclusively include personal updates like information about upcoming flights, travel time, meetings, reminders, and more.

The Feed tab is going to be reserved for news, weather, sports, and other topics that users might care about. It’s going to separate that completely from personal updates so that relevant content in either feed doesn’t get buried.

Google has said that this new functionality is live now in its mobile app for Android while these features are also going to make their way to the iOS counterpart “soon.”
