lg-super-uhd-tvsj95_2Without fail, CES is an event in which we can almost guarantee that we’ll be seeing new TV innovations from the likes of companies such as Samsung and LG. Now if you’re a fan of LG’s TV offerings, you’ll be pleased to learn that the company has a new lineup of TVs that they have just announced ahead of CES 2017. This announcement is for the company’s third-generation Super UHD TV lineup and one of the differences is that this year’s models will introduce the use of Nano Cell technology.

According to LG’s description of the technology that can be found in the new TVs, “Nano Cell achieves such impressive results by absorbing surplus light wavelengths, enhancing the purity of the colors displayed on the screen. These light absorbing capabilities allow LG’s new LCD displays to filter distinct colors with much greater precision, rendering each color exactly as it was intended by the original content producer.”

In the announcement, LG also revealed that they have partnered with Technicolor to help reproduce the best image possible as envisioned by creators. Apart from the use of Nano Cell technology, LG also revealed that the new TVs will use the latest webOS Smart TV platform, support HDR, and also come with the Magic Remote. No word on pricing just yet, but given its specs and features, don’t expect it to come cheap.
