According to Nintendo, the Nintendo Switch console is first and foremost a home console. Given that the console can be undocked and brought around like a tablet, many had wondered about how the Switch would be positioned in Nintendo’s console lineup, but like we said, Nintendo had reassured that the Switch would not be replacing the 3DS.

However it seems that there could be some kind of identity crisis going on. This is according to the folks at NeoGAF (via Kotaku) who noticed that maybe not all Switch games will support TV mode. This is according to an FAQ for an upcoming Switch game called Voez. The game was originally a mobile title and it appears to be headed for the Switch, and according to the FAQ which asked about support for TV mode, it reads, “A: No. This software can not play in TV mode.”

It also instructs users to touch the screen to play the game as button operation is not available. What we can assume from this is that there could potentially be other games launched by developers for the Switch that will be touch only, meaning that despite Nintendo claiming that Switch is a home console, there will be titles that might feel more mobile.

We’re not sure if there will be other games for the Switch that will be touch only, but perhaps this is something to think about if you were thinking of getting your hands on the console.
