Slightly Mad Studios launched its crowdfunding campaign for Project Cars 2 back in 2015 and it has now officially confirmed the sequel to its popular racing simulator. The studio has confirmed that Project Cars 2 release has been scheduled for late 2017 and that it’s going to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The sequel is going to improve on every aspect of the original game that came out a couple of years ago.

Slightly Mad Studios is back in the driving seat for Project Cars 2 with Bandai Namco returning as the publisher. Project Cars 2 is going to be a much bigger game with more than 170 cars and 60 tracks. More racing disciplines like ice, now, mud, and dirt racing will be added as well.

An online championship game mode will be included in Project Cars 2 while the dynamic weather system of the original title will be onboard as well. Project Cars 2 has been confirmed to have support for up to 12K resolution on PC (3x4K screen) and virtual reality support will be present.

More information about this game is going to be provided in the months to come, we will have to wait for some time before we find out the precise release date for this title. Project Cars 2 is due in late 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
