Back in January, ASUS begun rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the ZenFone 3, but it seems that due to some problems with the update, the company decided to put the update on hold. It has been a couple of months and the good news is that it looks like ASUS has decided to resume the rollout.

According to reports, it seems that ASUS has resumed the rollout of the update for model numbers ZE520KL and ZE552KL which are basically the non-Deluxe models. This was revealed on the ASUS ZenTalk forums so it should be rolling out as we speak. However if you don’t see it, not to worry as you should be able to expect it in the coming days or weeks.

According to ASUS, users will require 1.5GB of space of free space so if you don’t have enough free space then perhaps you should start freeing up that space to make way for the update. The update should bring about the usual host of changes and improvements and new features that you might expect from Nougat, although ASUS has also made some tweaks to its take on Android, so there’s that too. In any case the update should be available soon if you haven’t gotten it already, so do keep an eye out for it.
