So we have been hearing reports that the dock for the Nintendo Switch has actually been scratching the console’s display as users take it in and out. No doubt this is a bummer, although we guess that’s what screen protectors are there for. However if you’re after a potentially less scratchy way of docking your console, here’s an idea for you.

In a post on Reddit, Redditor tettzan777 posted a photo in which he customized his old N64 console to allow it to dock the Nintendo Switch. He also modified it in such a way that there is also support for USB ports on the front, something that the N64 console obviously was not able to do.

Now if you’re wondering why would anyone “destroy” such a classic console, tettzan777 claims that the console was already broken before this, so we guess in a way he’s just giving it a new lease on life. The only downside to this setup is that clearly there is no space for users to dock the Joy-Con controllers, but we guess that’s the price one has to pay for a Nintendo-ception, right?

In any case you can check out the video if you’d like to get a more in-depth look at the modded N64 Nintendo Switch dock.
