One of the features that was promised to gamers at the launch of Pokemon GO was the ability to catch legendary Pokemon. It has been a little over a year but that feature has yet to make its debut, but soon it could be. This is according to a recent sighting on the iTunes App Store in India in which an ad for Pokemon GO hinted at legendary Pokemon.

It is unclear when exactly the feature will be introduced, but Niantic did confirm earlier this year that they were planning on introducing legendary Pokemon to the game by the end of the year. However if this ad is any accurate, it would suggest that its arrival could be sooner than that, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for it.

Niantic has been slowly delivering on some of their promises. A recent update to the game will be seeing the addition of raid battles which offers up cooperative gameplay. Other features such as player-to-player trading/battles have yet to be implemented and hopefully they will be soon as well.

So far the game has been considered a commercial success after having pulled in over $1.2 billion in revenue in about a year. However its active player base has been on the decline, but presumably these new features and updates to the game will bring many players back.
