Last year Razer launched the Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop and it is a beast of a machine. However as is the case with most gaming laptops, it does not come cheap and with a price tag of $3,700, it certainly put it well out of the hands of most customers who might not see spending that much money as a very prudent investment.

However if you’ve been thirsting for the laptop, you’ll be pleased to learn that Razer has announced an updated version of the Blade Pro which will be priced considerably cheaper. It will still be pretty damn expensive as far as laptops are concerned, but it is significantly cheaper than the previous model which should make it more accessible, although there are some concessions that you’ll have to make.

For starters the laptop will pack a GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and its display will be of the Full HD non-touch variety, which means that you’ll be “sacrificing” a more powerful GPU and display in the process, but if these are features you think you can live without then the new Blade Pro could be for you.

It will also be shipping with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage, which is half of the 32GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD offered in last year’s model. It will also do away with the built-in mechanical keyboard and will be replaced with a standard membrane model, however if you can live with these specs, the new Razer Blade Pro will be priced at $2,300, which like we said is much cheaper than its predecessor, although still pricey as far as laptops are concerned.
