Whenever Nintendo releases a new console, they like to launch games that can take advantage of the console’s new features, like Wii had the Wii Sports, and with the Switch we saw 1-2-Switch and also ARMS, which allowed players to hold the Joy-Con controllers in each hand to mimic boxing.
The game has been out for a while now and prior to that, Nintendo had already introduced a couple of new playable characters to the game, but the good news is that a new playable character will soon be available. Nintendo will issuing an update to the game that will bump it to version 4.0 and with the update, a new playable character will be introduced.
New footage has emerged of an #ARMS match, filmed at the forest temple that Biff has been visiting recently. So many questions! pic.twitter.com/DDWowmNF0y

It is unclear as to who this new character is, but a recent screenshot was teased which showed some kind of Aztec theme, so presumably the new character will be based on that. Either way we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled for the update which should be released later today. In the meantime you can check out the teaser video above which shows off part of the new stage.
So far reviews of ARMS has been pretty positive and it seems that it is one of the more competitive titles available on the Switch right now.
