As far as new Blizzard games are concerned, right now the only game that the company is confirmed to be working on is the Battle of Azeroth expansion for World of Warcraft, as well as the World of Warcraft Classic servers. However it is safe to assume that the company probably has more on their plate than they are officially letting on.

In fact a recent job listing spotted by ResetEra (via US Gamer) has revealed that Blizzard is seeking a software engineer specializing in vehicles for an unannounced game. “Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented gameplay engineer to help create vehicles and build vehicle handling features in a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project.”

“The ideal candidate has proven experience in vehicle handling, with exposure to other game systems like physics, animation, and cameras. They must have outstanding people skills and a longstanding passion for playing games across multiple genres and platforms.” Safe to say that the job description doesn’t really tell us what Blizzard could be working on, but given that it is a first-person game, this has led to speculation that it could be Overwatch-related.

Recently a Goldman Sachs analyst has predicted that Blizzard could release a sequel/expansion for Overwatch in 2020, so it is possible that the content is being worked on now. Alternatively like we said, it could possibly be for a new franchise, or maybe Blizzard could be thinking of turning Diablo 4 into an FPS-styled game. Either way we’ll probably have to wait and see.
