Asus had said in September last year that we could expect its ZenFone 5 series to be launched in the first quarter of the new year. It was reported that the series might make its first public appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona and that’s precisely where it’s going to be revealed. Asus has essentially confirmed that it’s going to unveil the Zenfone 5 series at MWC 2018 in Barcelona next month.

The company has scheduled a press event on February 27 and the poster for the event clearly hints that it’s going to be the Zenfone 5 series that gets unveiled at this event.

Reports suggest that we might get to see at least three new devices from the company at MWC 2018 which include the Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 Lite, and the Zenfone 5 Max. The Max is believed to come with a significantly large battery. The event’s poster suggests that the new series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipsets.

The Zenfone 5 moniker isn’t new for Asus smartphones, it has released Zenfone 5 handsets most recently in 2015, which is why the poster says “Back to 5.” No further details are available right now regarding the features and specifications of these handsets. Those who can’t make it to Barcelona will be able to watch the press event live on the company’s website.
