We know that Google is working on smart clothing through Project Jacquard where they partnered with Levi’s for a smart jacket. However Google isn’t alone in pursuing smarter clothing as at MWC 2018, Nokia took the wraps off a smart jacket created in collaboration with South Korean fashion brand Kolon that was designed for first responders.

There are many, even fans of the iPhone, who would consider the iPhone X’s notch a design flaw. Despite HMD Global recently stating that there are no plans to bring its Nokia phones to the US this year, it looks like they might have had a change of heart because the company has recently announced that the Nokia 6 (2018) will be headed to the US this coming May. Pricing was not confirmed but it is priced at £200 in the UK, which when converted is roughly $280.

Qualcomm’s President Cristiano Amon has announced the Snapdragon 700 Series, a new line of mobile processors that will fill the gap between the Snapdragon 600 and 800 series dedicated to mid-range and high-end phones. We expect that just as it was the case with 4G coverage, it will probably take carriers some time to roll out nationwide coverage of 5G. In fact carriers such as Sprint have recently announced that they plan to build 5G infrastructure in six cities this year, which by no means is a lot, but we suppose it’s a start.

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Asus Zenfone 5 is an iPhone X clone from some unknown manufacturer in China. The new handset from Asus looks quite similar to the iPhone X, it even has a notch in the display. Asus has actually launched two variants of this device, the regular Zenfone 5 and the Zenfone 5Z, it’s the latter that features the Snapdragon 845 processor.

Asus had teased the launch new handsets at the Mobile World Congress 2018 and that’s precisely what it has done today. The company has unveiled three new smartphones as part of its Zenfone 5 family today and one of which is the Asus Zenfone 5 Lite. As the name suggests, it’s the entry-level handset in this series.
