Last week Blizzard announced that the “Blizzard World” map for Overwatch would be launched this week, and sure enough it has. The official Overwatch account has confirmed that the map is now live and playable for Overwatch gamers across multiple platforms, such as the PC, PS4, and the Xbox One.

For those unfamiliar, Blizzard World is a new Overwatch map that was announced at BlizzCon 2017 last year. It basically features the various franchises of Blizzard within a single map, with references made to Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo, StarCraft, and so on. It looks like a pretty fun and wild map, at least based on what we’ve seen, so it could be worth checking out if you haven’t done so already.

According to Blizzard, “See your favorite gaming memories come to life in Overwatch’s new hybrid map as you attack and defend the payload across Azeroth, Tristram, the Koprulu Sector, and beyond!” It also serves as a good reference point should ever the day arrive that Blizzard does decide to launch its own theme park. Given the number of IPs under Blizzard’s belt, it would make for a rather compelling attraction.

Of course we doubt that will be happening anytime soon, if at all, but one can always imagine, right?
