Like many other smartphone manufacturers, HTC is expected to launch a new flagship smartphone in the coming weeks. It’s likely going to be the HTC U12, a device that we’ve heard a some rumors about so far. While the company is yet to confirm when it’s going to unveil this new device, a new rumor claims that the HTC U12 launch is going to take place this spring in New York City.

There isn’t a lot of information available about this device right now but it goes without saying that this is going to be a flagship smartphone so one can expect it to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 845 chip.

All the other bells and whistles that you’d expect from a flagship-level device in 2018, such as a bezel-less display, will be present as well. There’s even speculation that the HTC U12 could feature a dual camera system at the back like many of its competitors.

Previous reports had suggested that HTC wouldn’t unveil this device at the Mobile World Congress 2018 and the latest rumor claims that the company is going to conduct a separate launch event for the device in the spring. This suggests that the handset should be made official in the next couple of months at the very least.
