The only game that Blizzard has properly brought onto mobile is Hearthstone, and given how much money mobile titles have the potential to make, it does seem like a market worth tapping into. In fact it seems that Blizzard could indeed be further exploring this avenue, thanks to a recently spotted job listing.

According to the listing, it calls for someone to fill the role of a “Tools Engineer” for an unannounced project. Some of the key takeaways for this particular position is that it will require the person to “Design and implement content tools for a mobile title”. It also mentions that it would be an added bonus if they had a “Passion for RPG games of all types”.

All of which seems to suggest that Blizzard could be looking to develop a mobile RPG title. What’s interesting is that this is actually not the first time we’ve heard about Blizzard developing a mobile game. Last year in September there was a job listing for a possible mobile RTS game, which means that Blizzard could have multiple titles in the works.

However whether or not these projects make it off the ground and become an actual product remains to be seen. Blizzard has not been shy about cancelling games in the past, so we wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t see any of these mobile titles released for a long time, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more info.
