Netflix has rolled out enhancements for parental controls on its service today so that they can better control the content that their kids can access on the service. These changes will also provide users with the information and the tools that they need to make appropriate decisions about what’s right for themselves and their families.

Netflix already provides PIN protection for all content at a particular maturity level but it has now improved this feature by introducing a PIN parental control for individual movies and TV shows. This feature can be used to block specific content from being access by kids.

Netflix will also start displaying more prominently the maturity level rating for a TV series or film once a user hits play. These maturity ratings can be accessed elsewhere during the steam as well but the idea behind this new rating is to ensure that members are fully aware of this information before they start watching.

The online video streaming giant has said that it’s rolling out these enhanced parental control features to all users across the globe in the coming months. The new features will be available across many of the devices that are supported by the Netflix platform.

The company says that it has taken these steps to ensure that its users are better informed and have more control over what they and their families can enjoy from the vast library of content that Netflix has on offer.
