Considering that Amazon acquired Twitch, it wasn’t surprising to see Amazon leverage the streaming platform and fold it into its Prime program with Twitch Prime, a “premium experience” that is included with every Prime or Prime Video membership. The good news is that if you’re a Twitch Prime subscriber, free games are something you can look out for.
In an announcement on its blog, Twitch has announced a new feature that Twitch Prime members can look out for called “Free Games with Prime”. As the name suggests, this is where Twitch Prime members can receive free games on a monthly basis, with the first giveaway starting on the 15th of March.
In a way this is similar to Microsoft’s Games with Gold program except for Twitch members. There will be five games given away this month which includes Superhot, Shadow Tactics, Tales from Candlekeep, Oxenfree, and Mr. Shift, and another five will be given away in the following month.
The best part is that according to Twitch, these games are for gamers to keep forever. This means that there won’t be an expiry date on how long gamers can play them for as long as they claim them. So if you aren’t a Twitch Prime member yet, perhaps now might be a good time to consider signing up.
