You can play games on pretty much every laptop, although this boils down to what kind of games, and how well you can run them. For example a laptop that costs $500 probably won’t run the latest and most-demanding games at the best possible settings, at least not compared to one that might cost $2,000.

Now Dell has the Alienware brand when it comes to gaming laptops which can be rather costly for some, but the good news is that if you wanted to be able to game but not sell off your kidney in the process, Dell has since announced a new G series of gaming laptops that depending on your choice, are seen as entry to mid-level devices.

The models offered are the G3, G5, and G7. Starting with the G3, this model will be offered in 15-inch and 17-inch display sizes and will come with a discrete GPU in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. They can also be configured to be powered by Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 CPUs, dual drives with SSD options.

However for those looking for a bit more power, the G5 and G7 laptops are where it’s at. They will come equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPUs, 6GB of DDR5 RAM, Intel 8th Gen Core i7 CPUs (the G7 can be configured to pack an i9 processor), and also dual drive and SSD options. There will also be an option to use an IPS UHD 4K display.

As for pricing, the G3 15-inch and 17-inch will be priced starting at at $749.99 and $1,099.99 respectively. The G7 will also be priced starting at $1,099.99, while the G5 will go for $949.99.
