Samsung has released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for some of its devices and it seems to be finally doing so for the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ (2018) as well. The Galaxy A8 (2018) Oreo update has finally been rolled out but only in one market at this point in time. At least it confirms that Samsung has got the ball rolling on this update and will soon release Oreo for this handset in other markets as well.

According to reports, Samsung has released the Android 8.0 Oreo update over-the-air in Russia. Users there will have received an OTA update notification on their handsets by now. There have also been reports that the update has gone live in nearby countries including Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.

This certainly means that it’s only a matter of time now before Samsung rolls out Android 8.0 Oreo for the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ (2018) in other markets across the globe. The update brings all of the features that are part and parcel of Android Oreo in addition to the latest version of Samsung’s custom skin.

Not only does this release bring Oreo to the handsets, it also adds support for Dolby Atmos to the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ (2018). The latest security patch for the month of July 2018 is onboard as well.
