It can be a bit of a nuisance to type long messages when you’re chatting using a game console, it’s not exactly fun to use the joystick to moving between letters and select the correct one to type out the message. Surely there must be a better way to make chatting more easier and even fun on consoles. Microsoft has come up with a solution, it’s a full QWERTY chatpad for the Xbox One.

Since Microsoft acquired Mojang, best known for Minecraft, it didn’t surprise anyone when the company created a version of Minecraft just for Windows 10. It has been about a week since Windows 10 was released to the public which can now get to playing this popular game on their freshly updated machines. During Microsoft’s Gamescom keynote today Mojang announced that new features will be added to Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition beta later this year in the fall.

If you’ve been following news coming out of Gamescom today you’ll be aware that Microsoft has made some impressive announcements today. Towards the end of its Gamescom 2015 keynote Microsoft made a surprise announcement: Halo Wars 2 is going to be released in 2016. The sequel to this popular strategy spin-off is under development and is slated for release in the coming year. Halo Wars 2 will be exclusive to Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.

Microsoft has made a few major Xbox related announcements today as part of its appearance at Gamescom and the company is not quite done yet. It has announced that future titles released as part of the Xbox 360 Games with Gold program will be playable on the Xbox One as well. For those who are unaware Microsoft has already confirmed backwards compatibility for the Xbox One which means that the console will soon be fully capable of playing Xbox 360 games.

Back in 2011 Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen started work on a project to build the largest airplane in the world, joining him in this project are several other big names one of which is Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. The plane is called Stratolaunch and it’s being constructed at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California. The company, Stratolaunch Systems, aims to begin test flights of the world’s largest plane next year.

Apple already offers the Retina Display on the iMac, you just have to be willing to spend a significant amount of money on the 27 inch 5K Retina iMac. Even though it’s now down to $1,999 instead of $2,499 when it was first launched adding a few more extras to the computer can really rack up the bill and not everybody has that kind of money to spend. There have been rumors that a 21.5 inch iMac with 4K Retina Display could be in the pipeline and the latest beta of OS X El Capitan hints at that possibility.

Netflix has been very vocal about its goal to expand to most countries across the globe by next year and it’s certainly putting that plan in motion. The online video streaming company confirmed today that it’s going to make its entrance in the Asian market by launching Netflix in Japan this September. Netflix confirmed the release date today and it has already set up a Japanese Twitter account and landing page on its website.
