new amiibo ukIn June this year, Nintendo made an announcement concerning their Amiibo interactive figures which did carry hope for the Japanese gaming company to be able to claw its way back to the top of the game, but somehow the reception to the idea has been pretty lukewarm, judging by sentiments on the ground. Having said that, for those of you living in the U.K., we have word that the first twelve Amiibo figures have been confirmed, and they will comprise of Mario (but of course!), Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.

When it comes to a game like Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 4, there has been mods released for it in the past. We have seen a GTA 4 Flappy Bird mod that is totally whacked out, and here we are with a really well done Watch Dogs mod for the very same title, and the verdict so far from those who have tried it out? Simply superb.

new 3ds 640x382Heads up gamers, if you are in the market for a new handheld console, you might be interested to learn that Nintendo has officially announced their new Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL handheld gaming consoles. On the surface it might look like the console does not differ too greatly from the original 3DS, but it does.

For starters it seems that Nintendo has added a smaller analog stick to the control which you can see pictured above the action buttons. It’s smaller than the first analog stick although Nintendo has likened it to the GameCube’s C-stick secondary analog stick. Nintendo has also tossed in a new pair of shoulder buttons labeled ZL and ZR. Read full post →New Nintendo 3DS & 3DS XL Handheld Consoles Announced

One of the reasons why some people get motion sickness from playing video games or by using simulators such as the Oculus Rift is because there is a disconnect between what your eyes see and your inner ear. Basically your eyes see that your character on the screen is moving, but your inner ear doesn’t register that movement and that conflict can cause motion sickness in some.

Well if you were worried about motion sickness with the Oculus Rift, then perhaps taking the Oculus Rift for a ride on a rollercoaster should solve your problems! If that sounds a bit insane, that’s pretty much what a group of researchers from the Kaiserslautern University in Germany have done. amazon samsung 640x392There are more 4K televisions starting to make their way into the market and there is a good chance that 4K could become the new standard in terms of display resolution. However we guess there are many who are still holding back on upgrading because not only are 4K devices expensive for the most part, but also because there isn’t a lot of 4K-optimized content available at the moment.

Now the good news is that if you’re a subscriber to Amazon Instant video, you might be pleased to learn that Amazon will begin streaming 4K video content starting from this October. This was a feature that had been announced earlier this year and we guess we now have a date to look forward to. Read full post →4K Amazon Instant Video To Kick Off This October

There are plenty of instant messengers out there for you to choose from, but if you wanted something a little more unique and interactive, then the Somebody app could for you. Basically instead of delivering messages to someone directly, the app will instead seek out someone near you to deliver the message instead.

Launched artist, author, and filmmaker Miranda July, it seems that the Somebody app is hoping that instead of burying our noses in our phones all the time, this app will help us get out of our phones and into the real world where we can potentially make a new friend by delivering a message to them. tesla model s hackedElectric cars used to get a pretty bad rep back in the day due to the fact that for the most part, they weren’t as fast as their fuel counterparts, they were expensive, and had poor range. The poor range was also coupled with the fact that charging stations were few and far in between, meaning that it isn’t as easy to find one compared to a gas station.

That being said, it seems that Tesla is hoping to change that. Earlier this year, the company announced plans that they would be building a network of charging stations across China to help facilitate the rollout of electric cars, and now they have confirmed that they will indeed be doing that. Back in 2013, Amazon unveiled a pretty awesome idea which is to use drones to make deliveries. This is a great idea because it would mean that some packages could be delivered on the same day that you ordered them. Unfortunately that idea has since been shot down by the FAA.

However it seems that the FAA’s reluctance to allow drone delivery has not stopped others from trying. Google is the latest to make their attempt in what the Google X Labs is calling Project Wing. Similar to other drone delivery programs, Project Wing will make use of a drone to make their deliveries. Read full post →Project Wing Is Google’s Attempt At A Drone Delivery Service
