When the Apple Watch was launched, there were a selection of bands that users could choose from, but they were pretty much all from Apple. For some this might not be a big deal, for others they might prefer to have more choices. Last week we reported that according to an Apple Watch guide, there was reference made to third-party bands.
Well for users who love choices and customization, you will be pleased to learn that Apple has indeed launched such a program. This program is basically similar to the Made for iPhone program, except that it is called the Made for Apple Watch program but basically third-party manufacturers will have to adhere to certain guidelines in order to receive the certification from Apple. HTC has always put out great smartphones, but unfortunately the company lacks the same branding power as Samsung or Apple, possibly due to the fact that they can’t spend as much in terms of marketing and advertising. However it seems that this year, the HTC One M9 is not doing as well as they should.
During the company’s recent earnings, the company’s revenue dropped by 38.6% which is the worse than the same period last year. In fact the drop also represents the worst April the company has had in the last six years and apparently the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in the handset is to blame for the phone’s lackluster sales.
