According to a report from last week, there were some complaints by Sony A7 and A7r users that their cameras experienced a light leak issue. It was found that the lens mount was letting in light around the edges, which led to photographers trying all sorts of ways to temporarily plug up the leak while Sony figured it out.
So far we have seen the use of electrical tape to hair ties, with the latter apparently working better due to it not leaving behind sticky residue. In any case the good news is that apparently Sony knows what caused the light leak and how to fix it, which thankfully does not involve any product recalls (phew!).

The Canon PowerShot G1 X II was announced back in February and according to Canon’s press release, they said that photographers looking to get their hands on the device could do so sometime in April. However it seems that Amazon could be pushing back the release of the camera and according to a recent listing, it has been revealed to be available on the 9th of May instead.
We’re not sure if Amazon is the only one who will be shipping the camera slightly later than the estimated release date, but other camera websites like Adorama and B&H are still listing the device for an estimated end of April release.
