We first picked up on a report that claimed that WhatsApp was testing a new feature called Status that was similar to Snapchat Stories. The Facebook-owned company confirmed it today. The WhatsApp Status feature is out now and simply put, it’s just an encrypted version of Snapchat Stories. Verizon today announced that it’s improving its prepaid plans by adding a new $40 option. It says that this new data buck is going to make it simpler for prepaid customers to enjoy the benefits of its network. The carrier is offering a 2GB prepaid plan for $40 per month. Customers also get unlimited international texting from the United States to more than 200 countries as well as the ability to carry over any unused data to the next month.

Samsung teased a new Exynos processor yesterday which it’s going to unveil at the Mobile World Congress 2017 later this month. It’s very likely that this new chip will debut in some variants of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus.
