As it turns out the A55 name was not for a Desire handset, but is the model number for an upcoming HTC One handset. According to a report by @upleaks, it seems that HTC is gearing up to launch the HTC One E9 later this month.

The One E9 will be another flagship phone from HTC which is a bit odd considering that the company recently unveiled the HTC One M9 at MWC 2015 this week. However it is possible that the phone could be targeted at a different market like what HTC has done with some of its models, but given the rumored specs of the HTC One E9, we’re sure many are hoping it would arrive for their market.
