apple smart packageWhile the actual product itself is important, so is its packaging, otherwise we’d be taking our devices home in brown paper bags. The packaging is part of the entire experience one gets when opening their brand new purchase which is why companies like Apple have paid a lot of attention to its design.

Now according to an Apple patent discovered by Patently Apple, it seems that Apple could be thinking about taking packaging to the next level by making them smarter. No, this does not mean that we will be seeing our packaging come equipped with electronics, but rather it will allow the user to setup their brand new device without having to even take it out of the box. With the more powerful hardware of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, at least over their predecessors, you would think that games ported from previous-gen consoles would look even more impressive on the latest consoles. Unfortunately it seems that is not the case with Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V.

According to several reports, users have complained that after updating the game to Title Update 1.08 on the PS4 and Xbox One, they have noticed what appears to be a downgrade in the graphics quality which you can check out for yourself in the video comparison above. Naturally this did not sit well with users who had no issues with the prior to this. Read full post →Rockstar Investigating GTA V Graphics “Downgrade” On PS4/Xbox One

newbee dota2If you’re a huge fan of Valve’s DotA 2 video game, chances are you would be interested in catching The International which can be considered the biggest DotA 2 tournament of the year. The good news is that if you’re planning on catching it live, tickets are expected to go on sale today starting at 1PM EDT.

LG-G4-BackIn the past we have been treated to several LG G4 renders in which the handset appeared to be slightly curved. That being said if you’re looking for more photos of the LG G4, you might be interested to learn that new photos of the handset have been leaked. Now there’s no way of telling if these photos are the real deal so it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now.

In these photos it’s a bit hard to tell if the handset is curved. While the quality of the images are pretty good, the lighting and angles don’t really show its curved body so for all we know, the LG G4 might not even sport a curved display to begin with. Other than that there’s nothing particularly remarkable about the handset’s design. Read full post →More Alleged LG G4 Photos Surface

lumia-cyan-windows-phone-8.1We have seen how companies like BlackBerry have allowed Android apps to run on its platform. Granted it’s not the most optimized experience one can have, but if you wanted a particular app that wasn’t available for BlackBerry OS 10, then you would at least have this option. Now according to a report from Neowin, it seems that Microsoft is looking to offer its Windows Phone users a similar option as well.

This isn’t the first time we have heard that Microsoft was looking into that functionality although it seems that even after a year, Microsoft still has not given the feature a greenlight to ship alongside the Windows Phone platform. Instead it seems that Microsoft is developing the feature more as a backup plan in the event that universal Windows apps fail to catch on with developers.
