bing search updateEarlier this morning, we talked about how Bing has predicted that Scotland will remain as part of the U.K. after the referendum is over. Well, while you are waiting for the results to be announced, perhaps you might want to make use of Bing and look up some photos and images of William Wallace and Scottish castles. You would have noticed then that Microsoft has introduced a refresh for Bing’s image search, where Microsoft figures out how queries are entered, in addition to the number of images viewed, as well as knowing how far down you would scroll – and are filters in place? All of those information has been consolidated to make the search experience an easier one.

editket keep calm 640x236Copy-editing if often associated with professional and expensive services that only businesses can afford. It is mostly the case, but Ediket’s team believes that there should be something between “no copy-editing” and expensive copy-editing. They also believe in a better interface for both copywriters and customers, which is why they build a nice interface that tries to mimic what users would do on paper. Even friendly copy-editing services such as Wordy don’t reach this level of simplicity and clarity in their interface. The service was launched in May 2014, and meeting with their team at GMV 2014 (a Korean tech/mobile conference) made me much more aware of what they were trying to do. steve wozniak windows phoneWhile Steve Wozniak might have been one of the co-founders of Apple, he has in the past been pretty objective about the company and its products, and in some cases has even praised the competition, such as the Windows Phone and Android platform. However it seems that Apple’s new iPhones have managed to win him over.

During a brief on-camera interview with TMZ, Wozniak was quoted as saying that he preferred the larger screens of the new iPhones, and to that extent has made him dump all his Android devices in favor of them. “Also we now have the big screens. I’ve shared Android and Apple phones for a long time to found out how they work and I’ve always liked the bigger screens to tell you the truth. So I got rid of all my Androids.” Read full post →Steve Wozniak Expresses His Love For Apple’s New iPhones

This is according to a recent report from BGR who notes that their sources have informed that iPhone 6 Plus units are extremely limited.

According to BGR’s sources, it seems that while carriers and authorized Apple retailers have been receiving their supply of iPhone 6 units, only about 2-3% of those supplies are iPhone 6 Plus models. What this means is that if you had your eye on an iPhone 6 Plus, you would be hard pressed to find one in store unless you were to line up really early for it. after coffee logo 485x640I didn’t know this before going to Korea for the first time, but it is one of the most caffeinated countries in the world.

This is evident when you walk around as the concentration of coffee shops is higher than anywhere else I’ve been so far.

After Coffee (site in Korean) is a non-profit project that has two objectives: First, they believe in fair trade with the coffee producers in third world countries.

Secondly, they would like to give free coffee to people who can’t afford to pay $3 for a cup of coffee. Read full post →After Coffee: Making World Better, One Cup Of Coffee At A Time
