Instagrams Explore Feature Will Be More PersonalizedHave you ever browsed the Explore feature of Instagram? Well if you haven’t, we can’t say we blame you. For the most part the photos featured in the Explore section feels a bit random, as opposed to being something we can relate to. This is an issue that Instagram is aware of and is something they have been working on as well.

iPhone 6 Could Sport More Rounded Edge Design [Rumor]We’re sure many are looking forward to the next-gen iPhone. After all if the rumors are true, it could finally be the bigger iPhone that everyone has been waiting for. That being said, a new rumor has surfaced from Mac Otakara with some pretty wild claims.

According to the report, it seems that there is a possibility that the next-gen iPhone could sport curved edges, as opposed to the slightly more squared-off edges that Apple has favored in its design over the past few years.

Assuming the rumors are true, there is a good chance that the next-gen iPhone could come in various sizes: a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model. That being said, the rumors also suggest that the 4.7-inch model could launch first, since there are battery issues with the 5.5-inch model that could cause it to be delayed to 2015.

In the meantime, the folks at Unbox Therapy have managed to get their hands on what they allege is a case designed for the iPhone 6, and in the video they compare it against devices like the Nexus 5, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and the iPhone 5s, all of which come in varying sizes (4.95-inches, 5.95-inches, and 4-inches respectively).

Earlier this year in January, AT&T announced that the ASUS PadFone X would be making its way onto the carrier’s network, but fast forward to April, there is still no sign of the device. By no means has it been cancelled because AT&T has made sure that we were constantly reminded about the device’s presence, either by teasing it or by announcing its specifications.

We’re not sure what’s with the hold up but in the meantime, AT&T has released another teaser, this time that of a video which showcases the ASUS PadFone X. Perhaps AT&T is looking for the right time to launch the device and position in in a good way, or perhaps there could be production issues and they’re waiting of ASUS to supply them with units, but either way we still have no clue as to when the tablet/phone hybrid will debut.

LG Files For W Watch TrademarkIt wasn’t too long ago that LG unveiled its smartwatch efforts in the form of the LG G Watch. The device was announced alongside Google’s unveiling of Android Wear, an SDK that Google has developed specifically for wearable devices. Now there is no word on when the LG G Watch will be released, but it has been suggested that the launch could happen after Google I/O which is taking place in June.

That being said, it seems that LG could have another smartwatch in the pipeline, thanks to a recent trademark filing for a certain LG W Watch. The name itself is a dead giveaway in terms of what kind of device we can look forward to, but what kind of device could it be that would set it apart from the current LG G Watch? After all we doubt that LG wants to cannibalize its own sales, right?

Facebook Messenger Has 200 Million UsersThe other day Facebook made a pretty controversial decision when they announced that they’d be removing the Chat feature from their Facebook mobile app. Instead if users wanted to chat with their friends, they’d need to download the separate Facebook Messenger app. For those who use Messenger, this is not a big deal, but for those who don’t, this change is pretty much forced upon them.

Perhaps trying to justify the change, Mark Zuckerberg announced during the company’s quarterly earnings conference call that more than 200 million people are using Facebook Messenger. This is actually the first time that the app’s usage numbers have been released and this has since been confirmed by a Facebook’s spokesman to the folks at Re/code.

Back in 2013, Motorola launched the Moto X smartphone which while did not pack the highest-end hardware, it did come with a barrage of pretty handy features and customization options that made it a treat for users. The fact that it also came with a near-stock version of Android was well-appreciated.

That being said, with the next-gen Moto X and Moto G which presumably will be made by Lenovo once they have officially acquired the company, will Lenovo be attempting to install their own UI on the devices like other OEMs? Or will they continue Google’s strategy by offering up a near-stock version of Android? Thankfully for fans of Motorola, it looks like the latter will be the course of action.

Kyocera Brigadier Press Rendering For Verizon LeakedEarlier this month, it was rumored that a new Kyocera handset would be making its way onto Verizon’s network in the near future. The handset is known as the Kyocera Brigadier and thanks to a recent tweet by @evleaks, who has a pretty good track record when it comes to rumors in the past, we now have an idea of what the device could look like upon its release.

Of course it is possible that the rendering could be wrong but given his track record, there is a good chance that it could be right on the money. Based on the design, it seems that our previous inklings were right and that the device would be more of a rugged device targeted at users who require such protection, as opposed to normal smartphone owners who might prefer something more elegant.

Red HTC One M8 For Verizon Gets PicturedBack in 2013, the folks at Sprint got their hands on an exclusive red version of the HTC One, but it looks like this year that privilege will fall on Verizon, at least according to earlier rumors. Well the ever-reliable @evleaks has pretty much “confirmed” that for us when he recently posted a photo of what appears to be the new HTC One M8 in a glamor red finish.

It is a very striking finish and if you’re bored of normal and somewhat tame color finishes, then perhaps this glamor red finish is just what the doctor ordered. Unfortunately @evleaks does not mention when the red version of the HTC One M8 will be released, but given that the press rendering has started to make its round, we’re hoping that it will be soon.

iPhone 6s Metal Casings Could Be Supplied By Catcher [Rumor]With the iPhone 4, Apple introduced a handset made from metal and glass which proved to be a very elegant affair, although the glass on the back was prone to scratches, not to mention very ugly cracks when accidentally dropped. Apple then moved to an all-metal design with the iPhone 5 and it looks like that trend could continue with the iPhone 6.

Apple typically redesigns its handsets once every two years so it is expected that the iPhone 6 could sport an all-new design. It could also be made from metal, thanks to reports from Barclays and Morgan Stanley (via G for Games) who have predicted that Taiwanese manufacturer, Catcher, is expected to supply many metal casings to Apple for its next-gen handset.
