netflix-silverlight-html5When Netflix first launched, it basically provided a way for users to stream movies legally on demand. It is a great service but unfortunately it looks like soon, some of your favorite movies will no longer be available via Netflix. This was revealed by Netflix who confirmed that they will not be renewing their deal with Epix.

This means that certain high-profile movies will no longer be available via their service. According to the company, “Meanwhile, we have decided not to renew our agreement in the US with Epix, the cable network, which means that some high profile movies including Hunger Games: Catching Fire, World War Z and Transformers: Age of Extinction, will expire at the end of September in the US. If you want to see them on Netflix US, now is the time.” Read full post →Netflix’s Deal With Epix Movies Won’t Be Renewed

Guild-Wars-2If you wanted an MMORPG that had no subscription fee, Guild Wars 2 was an option. All you had to do was buy the game and you’d be good to go, no monthly subscription unlike other MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft. That being said, it looks like ArenaNet, the developers behind Guild Wars 2, have decided to go down the free to play route.

What does this mean? Basically the game won’t cost you a cent. You won’t have to pay for the initial game or a monthly subscription. All you’d have to do is head on over to the Guild Wars 2 website, sign up for an account and you’d be good to go. That being said, there will be some restrictions to these free accounts. The trap itself was a DIY solution, at least according to the show, but sometimes shows are exaggerated for entertainment purposes, so the question is, would such a booby trap work in real life? Thankfully we have our answer as the folks at the MythBusters took it upon themselves to recreate it in real-life and test it out as well.
