A few days ago, we reported that according to a Microsoft job listing, it seemed that the Redmond company was entertaining ideas about unifying their operating systems. As it stands, Microsoft has several different operating systems, like Windows, Windows Phone, and Xbox, so it will be interesting to see how Microsoft plans on accomplishing it.
However it seems that the job listing was spot on the money because according to a report from Business Insider, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella has confirmed the unification. According to Nadella, Microsoft will “streamline the next version of Windows from three operating systems into one single converged operating system.” Read full post →Microsoft CEO Confirms Plans For Unified Operating System
About a couple of days ago, we reported that YouTube star Michelle Phan was hit by a lawsuit from Ultra Records for alleged copyright infringement. For those unfamiliar with Phan, she’s a famous YouTube star who creates makeup tutorial videos (amongst other things). Her videos have garnered her millions of hits, and it seems that Ultra Records, a label for EDM music is not happy about her using their artists’ songs as background music.
At that time Phan remained quiet about the lawsuit, but according to the BBC, Phan and her reps have since responded. According to one of her representatives, Ultra Records had apparently given Phan the right to use their music. “Ultra agreed to allow Michelle to use the music and Michelle intends to fight this lawsuit and bring her own claims against Ultra.” Read full post →YouTube Star Responds To Ultra Records’ Lawsuit
