nexus_6_amazonWhen the Google Nexus 6 was launched, many weren’t thrilled about its price. Unlike previous Nexus handsets that were subsidized by Google, the Nexus 6 wasn’t. It was priced like a regular flagship smartphone for $650. Safe to say many were a bit put off by its price and if you’re one of them, we have good news.

It turns out that the Nexus 6 has received a massive price cut on Amazon. The handset is now only priced at $350 which is close to being half off its original price. However we should point out that in the past year or so, the price has been steadily dropping and previously it was priced at $500. 6s marketingBased on how Apple has been naming their products over the past few years, it is largely believed that this year’s iPhone could be known as the iPhone 6s. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, which we suppose come 9th of September all will be revealed. However in the meantime, it seems that at least one company isn’t too fond of the name.

This comes in the form of an ad agency in New York who calls themselves 6S Marketing. It seems that the company is hoping that Apple won’t name the next iPhone the iPhone 6s. However this isn’t so much a legal matter, but rather the agency who appears to be trying to capitalize on all the hype surrounding Apple’s upcoming iPhones. apple watchAt the moment the Apple Watch, depending on the model, is made from three different materials. There is the stainless steel model, the aluminum model, and the 18-karat rose gold model. The latter is the Apple Watch Edition which is priced at a whopping $10,000. Can’t afford that? You’re in luck because Apple might have a cheaper model on the way.

This is according to a report from The New York Times. They claim that according to their sources, Apple is working on new metal finishes for the Apple Watch. This will apparently result in a still-premium/luxury product, but it will also be more affordable. In fact they claim that a cheaper gold version of the Apple Watch could be in the works. ipad_pro_4At the moment thanks to the use of Bluetooth, Apple’s wireless keyboards for the Mac are actually compatible with the iPad and the iPhone. However they weren’t exactly designed to be mobile, but that could change. A report from 9to5Mac has suggested that a new keyboard accessory designed for the iPad is on its way.

This keyboard accessory in particular could even be designed for the rumored iPad Pro in mind, which according to the rumors is pegged for a 9th of September announcement. It is unclear if we could end up with some kind of Microsoft Surface-like keyboard accessory, or maybe some kind of keyboard folio, but either way it will be interesting to see what Apple has up their sleeves. new-googleIf you were to buy an Android smartphone from China, you will find that Google’s services won’t be loaded onto it. Instead there is a good chance you will be greeted with China’s own app stores from the likes of Baidu and whatnot. However if a report from The Information (paywall; via The Verge) is to be believed, Google could be making a comeback.

One of the reasons why Google’s presence in China isn’t particularly felt is because of concerns over cyberattacks and surveillance. In fact Google isn’t the only company from the West that has been missing in the country. Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube also do not operate in China, leaving Chinese residents to turn to local alternatives. Read full post →Google Could Return To China With A Heavily-Censored App Store

razer-orochi-lifestyle-07There are plenty of gaming laptops out there. Many have pretty amazing specs but if there’s one thing many don’t have, it would be a good trackpad to game on. Then again, most gamers with gaming laptops tend to prefer using a regular mouse, but if you’d rather bring a full-sized mouse with you on the go, Razer’s got your back.

The company has recently announced that they have launched the redesigned Razer Orochi. Now for the most part, the Orochi can be used as a desktop mouse. spotifyCompanies make updates to their policies all the time to reflect changing times and new products. However a couple of weeks ago, Spotify updated their privacy policy which had many users fuming. The reason was because of the language Spotify used, which was basically legalese to help cover all possible angles, many felt that this new privacy policy was very Orwellian.

This prompted Spotify’s CEO to quickly step forward and offer up an apology, promising that a new and updated privacy policy, that would also be clearer, would be released. For those wondering what has become of that, you’re in luck as Spotify’s latest and updated privacy policy has since been released. Read full post →Spotify Releases Updated, Clearer Privacy Policy

parrot_zik_3The first pair of Parrot Zik headphones was announced in 2012. This was a collaboration between the company and industry designer Philippe Starck, and over the years we’ve seen Parrot release updated models along the way. This year is no different as during IFA 2015, Parrot announced the Zik 3 headphones.

In terms of design, Parrot appears to have stayed along the same course. However as noted by Engadget, the company claims that some slight changes have been made, which they are referring to as a touch of couture. This basically means there will be more options in terms of design, such as croc texture, an overstitch detail in black or ivory, and a black leather grain option.
