siriWhen it comes to voice assistant features, Apple has Siri, and Google has Google Now. The latter is admittedly a more feature-rich tool as anyone who’s ever used an Android device can attest to, but apparently this is something that Apple will not take lying down. According to a report from 9to5Mac, things will be changing drastically with iOS 9.

According to them, Apple will be introducing a new feature called “Proactive”. This is a feature that has been in the works since 2013 ever since Apple acquired a personal assistant app called Cue. Basically what Proactive aims to do is become the Google Now for iOS by relevantly broadening Spotlight and Siri’s search results. Apparently, these new models will be part of the DROID range that will remain exclusive to Verizon over in the US, with one of them being known as “Clark”, while the other would be the “Kinzie”. As for the latter, it is said to sport a smaller 4.6” display as opposed to the “Clark”, but you get a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution with it – translating to a 639ppi pixel density. fb-stalkDespite the fact that Facebook’s mobile Messenger will inform you specifically that it will keep track of your location data right from the get go, as you install the app for the first time – all the way to every single moment you decide to kick off a new conversation, many people fail to let it sink in that this happens all too often – and accurately, too. In other words, the app will ping where you are at the moment each time a text is sent, and with a new Chrome extension, one will be able to check out just where one’s contacts have been messaging you from, and this is done without them knowing any better, or even giving the permission for it to happen.

Well, the folks over at Motorola look set to have changed their stance with the most recent rumors pointing to next generation flagship smartphones that will come with Quad HD resolution in order to keep up with the rest of the pack.
