xperia z3 punishAh, smartphones. These happen to be everyday devices that the modern day road warrior is unable to live without. The thing is, being able to do so much would also mean one thing – smartphones can be rather fragile, and they certainly are not cut out for the rough and tumble lifestyle, unless we are talking about one of those highly specialized handsets that arrive once in a while from various companies. Having said that, the Sony Xperia Z3, which is the most recent flagship smartphone from Sony, is quite a toughie – being waterproof and all, and just to get a better idea on how tough it is, why not check out our source right after the jump?

oppo r8205It does look as though the probability is extremely high for China-based smartphone manufacturer Oppo to roll out a couple of new handsets that will make up part of its R smartphone range – after appearing on the TENAA website. Having said that, such an appearance is more often than not a shadow of things to come – which tends to be followed up by an official announcement not too long afterward. If you happen to be a diehard Samsung smartphone, phablet or tablet user, then I am quite sure that you have been patiently waiting for the most recent mobile operating system update. In this case, we would be talking about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in particular. ascend mate 7plus rumorWhat you see above happens to be a possible snapshot of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Plus, although nothing has been confirmed just yet. Of course, it is just a leaked photo, so it is only a matter of time before everything is confirmed – or debunked. What has been revealed so far, however, does seem to point to extremely thin side bezels, while the bezel which is right at the top of the phone happens to be rather thin, too. There is also a speaker grill which is located on the bottom rear of the unknown device, which will run close to the entire width of the handset.

g2 android501The LG G3 might be the existing flagship smartphone from the South Korean consumer electronics giant, but this does not mean that the company will neglect the LG G3’s predecessor, which would be the aptly named LG G2. The LG G2 is still no slouch when it comes to performance, where it continues to offer one of the best screen-to-body ratios in the market, sporting a camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) technology, and a battery that packs quite a punch for the discerning road warrior, so much so that it is good news to hear that it is about to be on the receiving end of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update in due time, based on leaked screenshots as seen on the right.

snake robotNow here is a robot that might just freak you out – it does not look like any kind of humanoid killer bots such as in the Terminator movies, and neither does it resemble the sentinels in the recent X-Men: Days of Future Past movie earlier this year. In fact, what you see above could very well be something from a cybernetic future, where it comes in the form factor of a creepy robot snake. Of course, this will not be toxic in any way, and neither does it catch mice – although it will be handy when deployed in disaster zones.
