If you’re the sort of person that’s extremely busy to the point where you are firing off emails and text messages even while you walk, this Kickstarter project dubbed the Tuidle might be something worth checking out. Pronounced as “twiddle”, the Tuidle is an iPhone case that its creator is claiming will allow you to multitask with one hand. Given that the iPhone itself is pretty small compared to other devices like the Samsung Galaxy S2, we’re not sure why you might need such an accessory, but we guess that some of you guys will eventually find a use for it.

It features a little hook at the back of the case that will clip onto your finger. It can then be balanced on your finger without you actually have to grip the phone. We’re not sure how stable such an accessory would be, but we guess it could come in handy especially during those times where you only have one free hand available. Some of the example scenarios given where the Tuidle might come in handy include riding a bike, walking the dog, while holding a baby, taking self portraits and it seems that it can even double as a kickstand of sorts. One of the drawbacks to changing mobile operating systems (i.e. iOS to Android, Android to Windows Phone, etc) is that some of the apps that you have gotten used to will not be available on the new platform. For example if you enjoyed playing Infinity Blade on iOS, moving onto Android or Windows Phone will no longer allow you to play the game (unless you still have your old phone around). While ports are currently being developed (like Instagram for Android), not all developers are willing to make the move. However it seems that Microsoft has come up with an interesting patent that should allow the transition between platforms to be a bit smoother.

This “app switcher” patent will basically scan your old smartphone for its apps, and will match it against Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace. If it is available, users will be able to either download it for free or at a discounted rate from its developer. However if the app does not exist in the Marketplace, the patent mentioned that the system will instead offer users a close alternative. While it does sound like an interesting idea, we have to wonder how Microsoft will convince developers to hop aboard their plan. After all, with iOS and Android apps numbering in the hundreds of thousands, just how many can Microsoft convince? What do you guys think?

Now it might be a while before Google’s Project Glass actually becomes a commercial product that we can buy off the shelves, but in the mean time if a head mounted display is what you’re looking for, Silicon Micro’s ST1080 Display is now available for purchase, assuming that you’re willing to fork out $799 for it of course. The gadget was revealed last year in December and is a head mounted display that has been designed to offer the user native 1080p viewing. On top of that, these glasses will also be able to handle both 2D and 3D content, providing its wearer with a 100” display at a virtual 100 foot range. and thanks to the lens’s 10% transparency, augmented reality features are also an option. The ST1080 will also come with a pair of earphones that features 24bit stereo audio. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is scheduled for a release later this year, the 13th of November to be exact, so if you were planning on getting your hands on the game anyway, how about placing a pre-order? Activision, looking to entice gamers with the upcoming release has revealed several pre-order bonuses depending on which retailer you buy it from. Unfortunately unlike other games where the pre-order bonuses have been somewhat exciting and useful (as far as game content goes), Black Ops 2 seems a little more tame. For starters gamers looking to pre-order from Amazon will be able to get their hands on a (presumably exclusive) digital wallpaper. GameStop customers can expect a free double-sided poster and last but not least, Best Buy will be giving out dog tags, which to be honest does seem like the best value for money. When Apple launched the new iPad a couple of months ago, one of the games that supposedly will make full use of the new Retina display would be the upcoming Infinity Blade: Dungeons. If you’re wondering why the name sounds familiar, it is because this game will be of the same Infinity Blade franchise, with the main difference being that instead of being developed by Chair Entertainment, Epic Games has instead turned to a team of developers who worked on Gears of War.

Now if you remembered the game back at the iPad launch, well the good news is that the folks at Joystiq have managed to get their hands on the gameplay trailer, which we have to admit reminds us of Diablo/Torchlight except in a tablet form. The game is set to launch later this year, still no word on a specific release date yet but given what we’ve seen so far, this is one game we’re most definitely looking forward to! Unfortunately as with the rest of the Infinity Blade games, it will be an exclusive for iOS devices, so those running on Android or Windows Phone or even the upcoming Blackberry 10 will be out of luck for now.

It wasn’t too long ago that Sprint’s Dan Hesse remarked that while getting the iPhone onto their network did cost the carrier a pretty penny, he believed that they would be able to start profiting from it in a few years’ time. Perhaps look to speed up that process is an upcoming promotion by Sprint that supposedly will launch on the 18th of May. This is courtesy of the folks at TechnoBuffalo whose source revealed to them that this will be a trade-in promotion, whereby current iPhone owners can trade-in their devices and get up to $100 of credit towards the purchase of an iPhone 4S. Of course this would mean that users would have to sign on to a new two-year contract, but if you’re currently not on Sprint’s network and you’re thinking of upgrading your iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4S, we guess this promotion does sound like a pretty good deal. However until the promotion has officially been announced, we suggest you not get your hopes up just yet and be sure to stay tuned for updates!

If you’re looking to get your hands on an Amazon Kindle Fire, you could be looking at advertisements on your home screen in the future. According to reports (via Adage), it seems that Amazon has approached several ad agencies and has offered them the opportunity to purchase an ad spot on the Kindle Fire’s home screen. It seems that for a fee of about $600,000, advertisers can expect their campaigns to run for two months and also include inventory from Amazon’s “Special Offers” product. However if advertisers were willing to drop more money, say $1 million, they will get ad inventory and be included in Amazon’s public-relations push.

Assuming the reports are to be believed, it seems that Amazon has yet to fully work out the details of this new revenue generating model. This has led to some ad agency execs to voice their concern about the proposed model. Amazon declined to comment on the issue, but what do you guys think? Would you be upset at having to view ads on a device that you paid full price for?

Floppy drives are amazing things, not only can they read the data stored on our floppy disks (back in the day), it seems that they have found a new lease on life as potential musical instruments! From what we’ve seen so far, users have managed to recreate the James Bond theme using floppy drives, and now it looks like YouTube user, Mr.SolidSnake745 has managed to recreate the Game of Thrones theme using floppy drives as well! Using MIDI to map out the song, the arrangement has been stripped down, presumably due to the floppy drives being unable to play the more subtle bits of the song, but all in all it’s still a pretty impressive effort and it does sound pretty good, although we doubt that it will be winning Grammy awards any time soon. iHelicopters has released several remote-controlled toys in the past and it looks like they’re back, this time with more remote-controlled goodies in the form of BMW and Audi toy cars. This toy car lineup will include the BMW 5 F10, the BMW X6, the Audi Q7 and the Audi R8, each costing would-be customers $59.95, which we have to admit is considerably less than their full-sized counterparts. Just like some of iHelicopters’ other products, these toy cars can be controlled via an app on the iPhone, which should take remote controlled racing to a whole new level.

They are powered by 1.5V AA batteries (number of batteries depends on which model you go for) and will feature a charge time of 60 minutes, which coincidentally is about how long you will get to enjoy racing the car around for. Either way iHelicopters has released a video demonstrating the cars in action (which we have to admit looks pretty fun), so check it out in the video above!

We’re not sure how many of you guys actually still remember older Apple products like the iMac G4, but if you do, then you could be forgiven for thinking that the photo above is it. If you take a closer look, it’s actually an iMac G4 base that has been converted into a stand of sorts for a white color iPad. Pretty cool, huh? This was put together by Reddit user cwtfozzy who managed to convert his old, and presumably no longer functioning, iMac G4 into a stand for his iPad. We have to admit that we’re actually quite surprised as to how well Apple’s old designs and new designs have managed to come together so nicely, but what do you guys think?
