middle-finger-emojiAh, how would our communication be like without any kind of emoji? Certainly it is a bigger step compared to emoticons, and with the launch of Windows 10 by Microsoft, there is also an accompanying updated set of illustrated characters, where among them include flipping the bird. What’s that? Oh, the middle finger, basically, which can be considered to be an offensive gesture in many cultures, although it has since become more flippant and humorous rather than offensive these days.

android m dev prevJust like how Apple has been seeding iOS 9 betas to developers and the public, Google has also been steadily releasing developer previews of their next-gen mobile operating system Android M. So far there have been two releases with the third expected for a release by the end of July.

Given that we are at the end of July, where is the release? As it turns out, it looks like the release of Android M developer preview 3 has been delayed. This has been confirmed by Googler Wojtek Kalicinski where he posted on Google+ saying, “We want this to be a near final release to test your apps on, but we need a little more time to get it out to you.” Read full post →Android M Developer Preview 3 Has Been Delayed

shield-tablet-review-32Slightly more than a week ago, we did hear that the NVIDIA SHIELD Portable has received the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, and just earlier this morning, we brought you word that the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet has been issued a recall due to a potential overheating hazard. Well, perhaps it would be a good idea to just send in your device for the recall and obtain a new one from NVIDIA, rather than to go ahead with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update instead.

xperiac5ultram5leak2-630x472Sony has an event planned for the 3rd of August in which we can only assume new phones will be launched. We had speculated that maybe we might see the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia C5 Ultra, but as it turns out we might see an additional device in the form of the Xperia M5, thanks to leaked photos obtained by Hi-Tech.mail.ru (via Android And Me).

As you can see in the photos, the Xperia C5 Ultra is the larger of the two. The handset is rumored to sport a 6-inch Full HD display but thanks to its bezel-free display, it makes it look smaller than it is which is a good thing especially if you find it hard to grip phablets in one hand. It is also rumored to be powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6752 processor with 2GB of RAM. Read full post →Sony Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M5 Photos Leaked

toyota-hsrWe did hear of Toyota’s HSR before – which is short for “human support robot”, and it will sport a solitary mechanical arm that has the ability to grasp objects of different shapes as well as sizes, and not only that, there is also an integrated suction cup that will allow it to pick up smaller items without missing a beat. Back then in 2012, it was just a proof of concept, but it is now available, and disabled folks are also rather happy with it at the moment despite being able to perform just a solitary and simple task, that is, picking stuff up.
