gtranslateGoogle Translate is a handy tool if you’re looking to translate a couple of words here and there. Sometimes it isn’t particularly accurate especially when it comes to long sentences as it is sometimes unable to understand informal speech, syntax, context, and/or slang. Usually this results in a very direct translation which can be good enough to get the gist of.

However if you wanted more accurate translations, Google has announced that they have made some updates and improvements to Google Translate in which it will now be able to recognize informal speech, as you can see in the image above where the words are the same, but the translation holds a slightly different meaning. While Amazon Prime might seem a bit expensive for some at $99 a year, there are a lot of benefits that comes with the subscription. For starters users will get access to movies, music, free deliveries, and best of all is that if you’re living in London, it seems that Amazon will be bringing its 1 hour deliveries to your area.

Prior to this, Amazon Prime’s 1 hour deliveries were only available in the US, but we suppose due to popular demand and the success of the service that they are now introducing it to our friends in the UK. Prime Now will offer up 10,000 products that will vary from groceries to electronics, all of which will be stockpiled in Amazon’s fulfilment center in East London which is how they are able to make their deliveries on time. Last year when Apple showed off their brand new iPhones, they also brought on stage Super Evil Megacorp who then demonstrated Vainglory, a MOBA designed for mobile devices, or more specifically, iOS devices. It was presumed that it would be an iOS exclusive, kind of like how the Infinity Blade franchise is still more or less an exclusive to iOS for mobile.

However earlier this year, the developers announced that they would be bringing the game to Android. Earlier this month SoundHound launched Hound, their own voice assistant software. The app is currently in beta although a recent video showed that it had no problems handling the competition. However if you don’t have access to the beta and want to see how well Hound fares under a different scenario, the folks at PocketNow have a new video that shows just that.

Similar to the previous video we saw, this video basically pits Hound against the competition in the market at the moment which includes Apple’s Siri, Google Now for Android, and Cortana for Windows Phone. As expected from the previous video, SoundHound’s Hound appears to be more capable of understanding complex and follow-up questions. According to an announcement by Facebook, they revealed that from now they will be taking into account your actions when watching videos to deliver a better experience to you.

According to them, “We are now taking into account more interactions with videos that we have learned indicate whether someone found that video interesting, such as choosing to turn on sound, making the video full screen, and enabling high definition. apple watch display comparisonThe Apple Watch Sport is basically Apple’s entry-level smartwatch. It will sport an Ion-X glass display versus sapphire which is found on the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition models. Now in terms of durability sapphire was found to be the tougher of the two, but recently according to DisplayMate, the sapphire does sacrifice brightness and legibility in the process.

The folks at DisplayMate took the photo above which shows the Apple Watch Sport (left) compared to the regular Apple Watch (right). The photo was taken in 2,000 lux uniform ambient light and as you can see, the Apple Watch Sport is brighter and easier to read compared to the Apple Watch. If there is a criticism that can be made about the new 12-inch Retina MacBook is Apple’s decision to do away with all the ports, save for a USB Type-C connector which will act as the port to power the laptop and port to connect external devices like flash drives, peripherals, and more.
