apple a7Apple made waves last year when they announced the iPhone 5s, not so much for its design or its features, but because of the A7 chipset which effectively made the iPhone 5s the first modern day smartphone to sport a 64-bit processor. Some have argued that such a move wasn’t necessary, but we later saw that other chipset manufacturers soon followed in Apple’s footsteps.

Now Apple had sent out reminders to developers asking them to ensure that their apps are 64-bit compatible, and recently Apple has issued another reminder to developers informing them of their deadline which is by the 1st of June. This is a phone that has long been rumored to be in the works and while it did launch with some unique features, it just failed to take unlike the company’s Kindle Fire Android tablets. Well the good news for current Fire Phone owners is that Amazon has recently pushed out a huge update that will hopefully breathe some new life into the device.

The update is a huge one and will introduce a host of changes and new features to the handset. One of those changes is to its battery life, which in some reviews was found to be rather dismal. the interviewWhile the Sony Pictures hacks have been largely digital, the other day the hackers released a threat in which they threatened actual physical attacks on cinemas that would screen Sony Pictures’ The Interview. Safe to say that this is a whole new level of attacks that we would see from the hackers and it looks like Sony decided that they would be better safe than sorry.

This strike will last, at the bare minimum, until at December 20th, although the company does not want to leave Santa and his elves sweating with the promise that all Christmas orders will be delivered on time.

BlackBerry LogoWhat comes after the frenzy of CES each year? Why, it would be Mobile World Congress that is happening over in Barcelona, Spain, not too long after. Having said that, BlackBerry intends to claw its way back into the smartphone game with the latest BlackBerry Classic release which is said to be confirmed to see action on AT&T as well earlier this morning. Apart from that, it seems that BlackBerry CEO John Chen intends to show off a 12-month road map for the smartphone company when MWC 2015 happens next year.

In fact, they have just revealed an airship that resembles that of a blimp, where this particular airship was specially designed to assist the military in detecting and destroying cruise missiles that are sent hurtling by the enemy in the direction of the capital – as well as other major East Coast cities, where it will hopefully be able to avert any potential wartime attacks.
