In November last year Amazon unveiled the Echo. Basically its a smart speaker which is hooked up to the cloud. Echo can provide information, news, play music and do much more with just voice commands. It can respond to commands as well so it essentially offers Siri-like functionality. Amazon has pushed out a new software update for the Echo which now enables it to provide voice control for iTunes, Pandora and Spotify.

Last week Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company’s first smartwatch will go on sale in April 2015. This means that the company is tweaking its retail operations to incorporate an entirely new type of product. The more expensive models, particularly the gold Apple Watch Edition, which are expected to cost a couple of thousand dollars will be stored in special safes at Apple retail stores.

The relationship between Cyanogen and OnePlus is strained, that much is evident, but this doesn’t mean that phones which were shipped with CyanogenMod ROMs will stop receiving updates. The software maker confirmed today through Twitter that the OnePlus One Lollipop CyanogenMod 12S build has entered testing. It was about a month back when Microsoft announced that it was rolling out the much awaited Lumia Denim update for compatible Windows Phone devices. The Verizon exclusive Lumia Icon supports this update but it hasn’t received Denim up till now even though the carrier immediately rolled Denim out for Lumia 822 and Lumia 928 after Microsoft’s announcement. The company is still not in any position to confirm to Lumia Icon owners when they’ll receive this update.
