Based on the videos we’ve seen so far, Blizzard’s upcoming FPS title Overwatch is shaping up to be a rather impressive game. Now last week the developer released a slew of gameplay videos showing off various characters in action and if you’re looking for more videos, you might be pleased to learn that Blizzard has added a new one.

This video shows off the Tracer character which apparently is one of the more popular characters in the game and we can see why. assassin's creed syndicatePretty much every Assassin’s Creed game that has been released over the years has an accompanying mobile app. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed Unity was no different as a companion app for iOS and Android devices was released, so would it be a safe assumption to think that this year’s title will have similar treatment?

If you answered yes, you might be disappointed to learn that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will not be launched with a companion app. According to a statement released to Eurogamer by a Ubisoft spokesperson, “There will not be a companion app. For Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the team wanted to focus all their efforts on the core experience.” Read full post →No Companion App For Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

windows_10_appsSo we know that Microsoft is planning on releasing Windows 10 this year, but the question is when? When can consumers be able to get their hands on Microsoft’s latest operating system? Well according to a recent tweet by famed Russian leaker @WZor, it turns out that we might be able to expect the RTM build of Windows 10 in July.

For those unfamiliar with RTM builds, basically this is the final build of a piece of software that is more or less the version that will be released to consumers. Typically there will be little to no changes made to the RTM build so what you see is what you get in the consumer release, assuming of course there are no last minute breaking bugs that forces the developer to pull it back. shazamvisualleadA report back in March revealed that Shazam had greater plans than just being known as the app that identifies music. Well it looks like those plans have since been revealed as the app has recently been updated where it is now capable of identifying more than music – it is now capable of identifying physical products.

Now before you get too excited, it should be pointed out that not every physical can be Shazam-ed. First of all the item would need to either feature a Shazam printed logo or a QR code in order for the app to identify it. This means that this new functionality of Shazam will be very limited at the start. Read full post →Shazam Will Now Be Able To Identify Physical Items

iphone 6Based on the rumors of Apple’s next-gen iPhones, it seems that Force Touch will be one of the handsets’ new features. However if you might recall, a report from last month suggested that Force Touch could be an exclusive iPhone 6s Plus feature. For those who would rather have the smaller iPhone 6s, this did seem a tad disappointing.

Well the good news is that according to a new rumor out of Taiwan, it turns that the iPhone 6s could get Force Touch after all. The report cites Apple’s supply chain sources as telling them that Apple had originally planned Force Touch to be an exclusive iPhone 6s Plus feature. It is unclear as to why that is the case, but we suppose it could be one of the features that differentiates the iPhone 6s Plus from the iPhone 6s. Smartphones with built-in pico projectors aren’t new. In fact despite it being a rather clever idea, it hasn’t really caught on yet so in reality, it does feel more like a novel piece of technology rather than a useful one. However could Lenovo be changing things up? Recently at the Lenovo Tech World conference, the company showed off a smartphone with a built-in projector.

However instead of the projector being used to beam photos, videos, and documents onto a wall, the projector instead projects onto a surface, like a table top, and transforms it into a touch surface meaning that any interactions you perform on the projected area is then translated into actual commands for your smartphone. iris-recognitionThe LG G4 has yet to fully launch in markets around the world so it does seem a bit early to talk about its successor, the LG G5. However rumors about one of the handset’s features has surfaced and if the rumors are to be believed, LG could be looking to install iris recognition technology in the LG G5.

As it stands, LG has not include fingerprint scanning technology into its flagship phone and the reason behind, and perhaps the reason is because they were holding out for iris recognition technology which is supposedly more secure than fingerprint scanning. The technology that the company will be implementing is courtesy of IRIENCE. Read full post →LG G5 Rumored To Sport Iris Recognition Technology
