pancreatic-cancerIt looks like there is a spanking new development where the realm of pancreatic cancer research is concerned, as scientists involved in this particular field have discovered a technique which is capable of checking out the presence of cancerous cells, and perform a miracle, to say the least, as it transforms those cancerous cells back into normal healthy cells. This particular method will be based on the introduction of a protein known as E47, where it will bond with select DNA sequences as well as revert those cells back to their original state.

Most of the time, we are very familiar with physical buttons in this world, whether it is meant for the remote control, on the vehicle’s dashboard console, or perhaps even on the handset itself – although physical buttons on a smartphone has slowly but surely started to disappear – leaving only the volume controls as well as power button, as virtual buttons have already taken over in many examples. Disney Research Labs have come up with this interesting new button that will be powered by soundwaves, where it is being dubbed as “Acoustruments” as you can see in the video above.

iPhone_6C_005There have been rumors that Apple could release a 4-inch iPhone later this year, which some have dubbed it as the iPhone 6c which could be sold at a lower price, thus allowing Apple to compete with some of the mid-range Android handsets out there. It does seem odd that Apple would go back to the 4-inch form factor, but those rumors have surfaced again.

This is according to a report from DigiTimes who claims that their sources have informed them that AU Optronics (AUO) has received orders from Apple and will supply the Cupertino company with 4-inch iPhone display panels which will presumably be used for the iPhone 6c, or whatever Apple plans on naming the handset. psvita3000The Sony PS Vita was released back in 2012 but it was only in 2014 that the company actually make some design changes in which the console was slimmed down. However could it be that Sony is already thinking about a new PS Vita design? Perhaps because according to sightings, it seems that Sony has trademarked the design of a possible new PS Vita over in Japan.

As you can see in the diagram above, the design of this particular PS Vita does not look too different from the current model. However it has been pointed out by NeoGAF user Jignx that there is an addition of a HDMI port. Also the description of the trademark seems to suggest that Sony will not be returning to the use of an OLED display as it has been described as a “portable LCD screen game machine controller.” Read full post →New PS Vita Design Trademarked In Japan

mortal kombat xMortal Kombat X was recently released but it looks like NetherRealm could already be planning additional content for the game. Valve’s MOBA DotA 2 is played from a top down perspective where players control their hero and will also be able to scroll through the map and observe different parts of it at the same time. However we’re sure given the nature of DotA 2, many are wondering how different it would be if DotA was created as a first-person shooter.

Well wonder no more because a modder by the name of BMD remade DotA 2 and turned it into a first-person shooter. Now we should note that the mod is pretty barebones and BMD has done away with items and creeps. Basically instead of DotA 2 being a very strategic team-based game, this mod turns it into a fast-paced first-person shooter using DotA 2 characters. samsung-galaxy-s6_012The Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 are very different phones, but yet when it comes to comparing Android to iOS, both company’s flagship smartphones are usually dragged into the argument. That being said with the launch of the Galaxy S6, a report from ATLAS Research & Consulting claims that this has negatively impacted the sale of the iPhone 6.

The report claims that Apple has sold an estimated 35,000 units in the second week of April. However this is following the launch of the Galaxy S6 and actually represents a drop of 1,700 units from the week before. This is versus the 79,586 units of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge that was sold in the first six days of their launch, although they were only comparing offline sales, as in sales made through shops and retailers, not online.
