iPhone-6s-Bagues-Photos-2If there is one annoying flaw on the iPhone 6 that many do not seem to be too pleased about, it would be the protruding camera lens. Granted while the lens cover is made from sapphire and is relatively scratch-resistant, it just seems like unnecessary risk if you know what we mean. Of course slapping on a case will deal with that in a second, but what if you didn’t want to use a case?

Now unfortunately it seems that if you were hoping that Apple would somehow address this design issue in the upcoming iPhone 6s, you might be disappointed. According to recent photos obtained by Nowhereelse.fr, it seems that the protruding lens is here to stay, at least as far as the iPhone 6s is concerned. lost iphoneWhile Apple’s iPhones are usually very nicely designed, some might consider them to be fragile and dropping them into water or onto the ground usually results in a device being fried or having its screen cracked. This is pretty much what Imgur user ehtnaerokyug thought when his iPhone 6 Plus was lost at sea, but as it turns out his phone survived despite being out at sea for weeks.

According to him, he was kayaking with friends with his iPhone encased in a waterproof case around his neck when he fell into the water. He claims he panicked and when he eventually hauled himself back into the boat, he heard something snap which was actually the cable of the case which resulted in the phone dropping into the water. fervent-carpet-968x644One of the common triggers of asthma is dust mites. Dust mites are typically found in objects with textiles on them, such as soft toys, beds, beddings, and carpets, so if you have a child with asthma or if you’re an asthmatic, chances are you would want to get rid of these potential triggers in your home.

That being said, the folks at design firm Studio Siem & Pabon have put together a carpet called the Fervent Carpet which has been designed specifically for asthmatics in mind. Its designs Anne Pabon and Siem Lenders asked themselves, “Pillows, curtains, upholstery, mattresses and carpets all add to the emotional value of the home. Should [the homes of asthmatics] stay cold and impersonal?” Read full post →This Carpet Has Been Designed With Asthmatics In Mind

comet-lifeIs there life out there, beyond that of planet Earth? Some might say yes, others are not too sure, while even others claim that there is no chance of life being supported outside of our planet. In fact, a NASA scientist has claimed that there are 1 billion ‘earths’ and counting, but let us place our focus on what comet probe Philae has picked up recently. Philae apparently detected a bunch of elements that are said to be essential to life as it landed last November on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

apple-tvThe Apple TV has yet to undergo a significant refresh and yes, it has been a while. However according to a report from BuzzFeed, they have learnt that come September, Apple is expected to debut a new Apple TV with some significant hardware and software upgrades. Not too long ago Sony announced that they were working on a new Android concept. Recent screenshots of the concept surfaced which shows a more vanilla/stock Android experience which we suppose is a good thing, but unfortunately the concept was only limited to 500 testers who are living in Sweden and who have the Sony Xperia Z3.

That being said given how enterprising the Android community is, it didn’t really come as a surprise to find out that someone has managed to repackage Sony’s Android concept into a ROM and has released it on the XDA forums where users who are interested can go ahead and try and flash it on their devices. We’re not sure how many of you guys remember the Worms franchise from back in the day. For those who don’t, basically it’s a game where you get to drop a variety of worms on a battlefield, and each player takes turns taking out the other player’s worms with a variety of cute and novel weapons.

Granted it might not be as popular today as it was back in the day, but the folks at Team17 have recently unveiled to Pocket Gamer that they have a new Worms in the works in the form of Worms 4. The concept of Worms 4 is similar to the previous version where you have single and multiplayer aspects of the game. Read full post →Team17 Announces Worms 4, Coming To iOS In August

xiaomi-mi-tablet-windows-10It seems that the good people over at Xiaomi are working on a spanking new tablet that is ready and waiting to be released down the road – and this particular tablet will run on the Windows 10 platform. While global tablet sales are not exactly the benchmark of encouragement of late, this does not mean that companies should stop churning out tablets, right? After all, it still commands a sizeable market share where consumer electronics are concerned, and an analyst, Pan Jiutang, has stepped forward to claim that Xiaomi will introduce a new Windows 10-powered tablet some time in the third quarter of the year, although a more specific launch date would be much appreciated.

lenovo-yoga-3-pro-review-14Lenovo has enjoyed a huge wave of success with the introduction of the Yoga 2 Pro, and when the Yoga 3 Pro was announced some time ago, we were really curious to see how it would fare in a real-world situation. On paper, it looks pretty amazing, with a 0.5” thickness and a weight of 2.62. This is thinner than Apple’s new 12″ Macbook, and lighter than the Macbook Air 13.

The latest Dell XPS 13 (Model XPS9343) would be very close, although not better, in both weight and thickness, but it doesn’t turn go into tablet mode.

The 3200×1800 IPS display is the second thing that jumps out when reading the specs since it promises to deliver a very nice viewing experience. The Core M processor was somewhat of a concern, but the 8GB of RAM was reassuring. In the end, we took it for a spin and here’s our full Yoga 3 Pro review. Read full post →Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro Review
