Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC looks all set to make an announcement over at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Germany, for their upcoming 64-bit-capable smartphone, which has been given the nickname Desire 820 by many quarters. Of course, with an impending announcement next week, it goes without saying that there will be plenty of rumors and speculation going about concerning the device, and the latest one would hail from@upleaks that touted how the HTC Desire 820 will arrive with an MSM-8916 chipset, which is actually the quad-core Snapdragon 410, being a 64-bit processor.

Reuters has brought word that the upcoming flagship smartphone from Sony, which will continue in the tradition of the Xperia Z series, is aptly called the Sony Xperia Z3, and this particular smartphone looks set to be made available over on Sprint later this year. Apparently, this is going to be made possible as Sony and Softbank Corp, where the latter happens to be the Japan-based owner of Sprint, have managed to arrive at an agreement. Should this particular rumor turn out to be true, then it would certainly mark the first time that Sprint will offer a Sony-branded device, especially since it used to be T-Mobile that had such exclusivity in the past.
