In fact many are wondering if a repeat of the “C” phone this year is truly needed but that’s a debate for another time. In the meantime it seems that over in the UK, the police have attributed the phone to saving a man’s life.

As you can see in the image above, the shows the iPhone 5c peppered with what appears to be shotgun pellets. Apparently the man in question was shot up close by a shotgun. While he did suffer serious abdominal injuries, the police claim that the phone took the brunt of the shot, which is why his wounds were not fatal. Blizzard is a developer who has been known for three major franchises – StarCraft, Warcraft, and Diablo. All three franchises have proven to be extremely successful in their own ways and have developed legions of fans, which is why when Blizzard introduced Overwatch, many sat up and paid attention.

The game is the first new franchise from Blizzard in the past decade or so and it is basically a first-person-shooter, with the graphics and style of the game reminding us of Valve’s Team Fortress series. fitbit-charge-statementWhen it comes to choosing a wearable for our wrists, we can opt for the more well-rounded smartwatch like the Apple Watch, or we could opt for more dedicated fitness bands that are more focused towards fitness than displaying notifications, such as those created by Fitbit and Garmin.

That being said in terms of wearable bands, it seems that Fitbit is the current leader. This is according to analyst firm Canalys who revealed that Fitbit saw a major year-on-year growth, and that the wearable band market saw a 150% increase in sales year-on-year. These rumors consist of who might be interested in buying the company and so far we have heard big names such as Microsoft, Uber, and even Apple and Google’s names were mention.

That being said if you are thinking that we might have the official word on who might own Nokia’s HERE Maps anytime soon, you could be disappointed. Considering how well DC’s recent TV series such as The Flash and Arrow have been doing, we’re sure many are excited to see what the upcoming Supergirl TV series will bring to the table. Now if you’re just as curious as everyone else, it seems that you can sate your curiosity today because according to reports, the pilot of the show has leaked onto torrent websites.

Yes, you read that right, the pilot which was originally scheduled for a release in November 2015 has been leaked a good six months ahead of schedule. Milk-Music-SamsungWith so many music streaming platforms available, some with bigger libraries and being more popular, we had to wonder how Samsung’s Milk Music would fare, especially when users probably think of platforms such as Spotify, Pandora, and Rdio when it comes to music streaming.

This is why it doesn’t come as a complete surprise to learn that Samsung’s Media Solutions Center America, the arm responsible for Milk Music and Milk Video, are laying off their employees. tychus cigarFor those who are fans of Blizzard’s games, especially the StarCraft franchise, you might be familiar with Tychus who is a prominent StarCraft character. In the game’s artwork, the character can clearly be seen smoking a cigar. In fact the trailer for StarCraft 2 very prominently featured the cigar as well, but it seems that for Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard has decided to do away with that particular character trait.

Unsurprisingly many fans were upset at the removal, with a Reddit thread being started that reads, “YES. We know smoking is bad, everybody does. BUT! it’s not Blizzard’s job to make sure we don’t do it anyway. It’s an iconic part of the Tychus character. BRING BACK HIS CIGAR!” At the same time there were fans who were understanding of Blizzard’s choice as the inclusion of cigar could impact the game’s launch in certain markets. Well the good news is that if you’re a fan of The Avengers, Iron Man, Marvel comics, or all of the above, you will be pleased to learn that the device will be launched next week.

This is according to a recent post by Samsung Mobile Korea on Facebook, although we have to wonder with the post being made by the Korean account, does this mean that the handset will launch in Korea first, or is this meant to be an announcement for everywhere around the world?  We suppose we’ll just have to wait and see. BlackBerry-LogoThere have been plenty of rumors surrounding who may or may not acquire BlackBerry, although to date we have yet to see any of these rumors come to fruition. Well here to add to the list is a report from DigiTimes who claims to have heard from industry sources that companies such as Microsoft and Xiaomi could be interested in the Canadian handset maker.

Along with these two companies, their industry sources have also suggested that more than one Chinese OEM was interested as well and have also named the lines of Lenovo and Huawei, claiming that by acquiring BlackBerry it would give them a larger presence in the western market. Of course it should be noted that they are referred to as potential investors so it seems that maybe their interest could be in its initial stages versus being in talks with the company already.
