snapdragon-820-mwc15Qualcomm said that Snapdragon 820, the company’s next high-end processor (or SoC) would start “sampling” in the second half of this year (H2 2015). “Sampling” means that the first processors will be produced in limited quantity for engineering purposes. This is how OEMs can start verifying that the chip integration to their product works as planned, and software verification can take place. spectre360_galleryZoom_img3Laptops that have the ability to double up as tablets are pretty common these days, and if you’re after such a device you might be interested to learn that HP has announced the HP Spectre x360, a laptop which the company is calling its “most premium” computer to date, and while there are some specs that we think could have been better, the build and overall specs do make for a pretty compelling device.

The Spectre x360 will come with an aluminum body and will sport a display that has the ability to flip around to become a tablet. Its display is of the 13.3-inch variety so if you’d rather not lug around a 15-inch or 17-inch laptop, the HP Spectre x360 should be just right. However like we said if there’s one thing we would have preferred is if its display had a higher than 1080p resolution, but that’s just a minor quibble, but there is a QHD option if customers are willing to pay for that upgrade.
