Regardless of what smartphone platform you use, there will always be die-hard fans. Sometimes these fans are well-informed and really know their stuff, while others feel like they’re just there on the bandwagon because it’s the “in” thing. Recently the folks at Dit Is Normaal decided to put Apple’s fans to the test.

They basically took a fake iPhone 6 (there are plenty of those floating around) which came with Android installed on it. They then took to the streets and asked Apple fans what they thought about the upcoming iOS 9, which was actually Android running on the phone. Amazingly enough there were some who thought Android was actually iOS. Read full post →iPhone Fans Trolled Into Singing Android’s Praises

oneplus-2-review-04Considering how popular the OnePlus One was, it isn’t surprising that the OnePlus 2 with its decent specs and affordable price tag would be just as popular, if not more. In fact recently in China, 30,000 units of the handset were sold in a little over a minute. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, we have to rely on an invitation reservation system.

Basically this means we have to wait for an invite to purchase the phone which is a somewhat ingenious albeit novel way of managing inventory. However with the list sitting over a million, safe to say some weren’t too happy and figured out a way to hack the system. As it turns out OnePlus isn’t too happy about that either and has promised to crack down on exploiters. Read full post →OnePlus Responds To Reservation List Hacking

galaxy-note-5The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a large phone. It has a larger display than the Galaxy S6 which means that in theory, it would take more power to keep it on. However if you were hoping for a larger battery for the Galaxy Note 5, you might be disappointed. According to the folks at Droid-Life, they have gotten their hands on some leaked photos and some additional info about the upcoming device.

According to them, they have been told that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a 3,000mAh battery. While 3,000mAh by itself is pretty big, the fact that the Note 5 has a larger display with a rumored QHD resolution, we were kind of hoping it would be bigger. After all no one likes running out of juice in the middle of the day, right? Read full post →Alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Leak Suggests 3,000mAh Battery

MCB43718_RAT_PROX_AVG_001_lgEarlier this year, Mad Catz took the wraps off a new gaming mouse in the form of the R.A.T. Pro X. samsung logo 4India and China are huge markets that companies would love to tap into namely due to the size of their population. When Lexus first teased its hoverboard, many thought it was a fake but the carmaker assured that it was the real deal. They even promised a full reveal on the 5th of August and sure enough they have (it’s the 5th in some countries due to the difference in timezones) and we have to say that it looks awesome!

Granted it doesn’t hover as high above the ground compared to the hoverboards we see in TVs and movies, but it does hover and it does a pretty good job of it. The video features skateboarder Ross McGouran and he puts the hoverboard through its paces, riding it like you would a skateboard, and even performing some tricks like grinding on raids and doing jumps. Google has hidden the Android developer options in Android 4.2 (and above), the reason being simple: the developer options are not required by the average android user, and tinkering with these options may lead to abnormal phone behavior (like flickering or odd menu behavior).

In general, changing the Android developer options won’t lead to corrupting your phone’s system or something. However, it may lead to small visual changes and how you interact with your phone, and more importantly, it’s less secure (to ease the process of copying and installing unapproved apps… under development). The most common reason to access the developer options is to enable the USB debugging mode for direct connection between Android phone and a computer to receive commands, but there are many other reasons as well.
