Before Samsung had even officially announced Galaxy Mega 6.3, rumor was that the device was listed for pre-order in Germany for €699. One Galaxy Mega variant has already stopped by the FCC for approval, there’s still no official confirmation as to when these gigantic devices will be released in the U.S. Latest rumors claim that the release of both Mega ‘phablets’ has been delayed and they won’t be available until July, as opposed to the previous May release. Despite that, a couple of retailers in the UK have already listed the price for Galaxy Mega 6.3, which is approximately £460.
It is also claimed that an 8GB variant of Mega 6.3 will be available as well, though there are no rumored price points for that device right now. One UK based retailer claims to have this device in stock by July, whereas the other does not list any expected release time frame. While all this is happening across the pond, prospective customers stateside may have to wait for at least a month before the Mega 6.3 comes over. And as we said in our detailed Galaxy Mega 6.3 review, its certainly is an impressive device, that may perhaps warrant an anxious wait.

In February at the Mobile World Congress 2013 Samsung revealed HomeSync, an Android Jelly Bean powered set-top box. It is actually a home media server with a 1TB hard drive, has complete access to Google Play Store when connected to the internet either through Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Samsung didn’t say much about this device since then, but now they’ve posted an official HomeSync walkthrough video online that details exactly what this device is capable of doing. Users can store all of the multimedia content which is either on their tablets or smartphones to HomeSync’s 1TB hard drive, through which the content can then be viewed on a TV.
Under the hood, Samsung HomeSync has a 1.7GHz dualcore processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of flash memory and support for all standard audio and video codecs. Optical-out audio, USB 3.0 and 1080p HDMI with HDCP support is also built in. Still Samsung has not revealed an exact release date for this device. Though considering that the walkthrough video meant to educate prospective customers is now out, it could only be a matter of time before the actual product is rolled out as well.
