Chinese manufacturer Oppo has made a name for itself. Even though its devices aren’t available in major global markets, the company’s products regularly make the rumor mill rounds, while they’re already quite popular back home in the People’s Republic. Oppo today posted a picture, detailing specifications of the full HD display touting model.
As rumored, the variant has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB of onboard storage as well as a 5.5 inch 1,920×1,080 pixel resolution display. It left out camera specifications, rumor has it that the smartphone might have a 50 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel camera on the front. The high-end iteration is expected to have a Quad HD display with other specifications likely to remain the same.
While Oppo hasn’t said anything about pricing just yet, rumor has it that the phone will sell for under $500. Its possible that this price might only apply in China, and that if this phone ever makes it to markets like the U.S., may be sold for a bit more than $500. However, if it stays in this price range even in Western markets, then the OnePlus One could have a serious competitor to deal with.
