Depending on which hotel you go to, there are times when the slightly more fancy hotels provide their guests with a sound dock in their room which they can then use to connect to an iPod or iPhone and listen to their music. However over in Dubai, which is known for their towering skyscrapers and luxurious hotels, it seems that guests can expect more, so much more. If you ever had the money to stay at Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, a hotel which calls itself the most luxurious hotel in the world, it seems that you can expect to find your room furnished with an iMac, and wait for it, a 24-karat gold iPad.
Yes you read that right! As if furnishing a room with an iMac wasn’t luxurious enough, guests will be able to play with a gold iPad! Of course considering that rooms at priced starting at $1,525 per night, such luxuries aren’t exactly a stretch of the imagination. Guests’ interactivity of the iPad will be limited at the start, but the hotel is said to be expanding access to other apps in the future. In case you get too attached to the gold iPad in your room, the hotel is even selling them at their Bespoke Boutique where guests can purchase a 64GB iPad for a staggering $10,200.

We’ve heard rumors and seen alleged components that suggested that Apple’s alleged iPhone 5S will come in a variety of different colors, much like the new lineup of iPod touch media players. While it remains to be seen if Apple will be going down that route with the iPhone 5S, the folks at Japanese blog, Macotakara, have heard that iPhone 5S devices in multiple colors will indeed be arriving, and not just on the iPhone 5S, but Apple’s rumored budget iPhone as well.
According to the source who spoke with Macotakara, the color options will be white, black/navy, gold/yellow, pink, gray and green, and if you’re wondering where black is, it seems that black will remain exclusive to the flagship iPhone, meaning that it will not be an option for the low-cost device. Apart from the rumors of multicolored iPhones, their source went on to state that mass production of the low-cost iPhone will begin between July and September before being made available to customers later on in the year.
As usual take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Anyone up for multicolored iPhones?

Are you looking for an iPhone but can’t afford to sign to one of the major carriers, or maybe because they don’t offer good coverage in your area? Well if you’re a GoPhone customer, you might be interested to learn that according to the folks at MacRumors, they were tipped off that AT&T’s prepaid brand, GoPhone, might be looking to add iPhone support onto their network in the near future. As it stands, GoPhone customers can use the iPhone on their network, just that they aren’t allowed data access, rendering the phone pretty much useless except for calls and text messages.
The Blackberry Playbook tablet was released a couple of years ago, but unfortunately the tablet was not met with the resounding success that Blackberry had initially planned for, but the good news for Playbook owners who are still actively using their devices, it seems that Blackberry 10 for the tablet is expected to see a release in the next couple of weeks. This is thanks to a tweet by Blackberry Mexico, who in response to a question from a customer, replied that the Blackberry 10 update for the Playbook tablet is expected to be released in the next few weeks, although a specific timeframe was not given. The tweet has since been pulled, leading us to believe that it could be for real, and that it probably wasn’t information Blackberry hadn’t intended to share just yet. Alternatively the rep for Blackberry Mexico might have gotten their info wrong which is why the tweet had to be deleted. In any case we’ll keep an eye open for the update, so Playbook owners, time to dust off the tablet because it might be getting its second lease on life soon!

While Nokia might be dominating the Windows Phone scene, let’s not forget players like Huawei who have released Windows Phone devices in the past. If you’re a Huawei user and you’re feeling a bit left out that Nokia has exclusive apps for their Lumia series of Windows Phone handsets, fret not because it seems that Huawei has launched their very own Windows Phone store. The Huawei Windows Phone store is basically known as “Huawei Selected”, presumably featuring a bunch of apps and other products/services that have been selected by Huawei, for Huawei.
The other day Microsoft took the wraps off the new
