AT&T confirmed back in March this year that it’s going to launch a trio of standalone online TV streaming services under the DirecTV brand. Over the past few months, the company has been inking deals with content providers who will be making their channels available on the services. AT&T has now confirmed that HBO has signed on as well, the premium cable network’s linear channel will be available for over-the-top streaming via the DirecTV streaming service.

Earlier this week, Halo developer 343 Industries finally confirmed when the Halo 5: Forge map creation tool is going to be released for PC. The release isn’t that far off as Forge is going to be out in September. The map creation tool will enable Halo 5 players to make new maps and levels on their PCs while also being able to host and play custom multiplayer matches in Halo 5. 343 Industries has now revealed the PC specifications required to run Halo 5: Forge.

A couple of months ago, Blizzard announced a new partnership with Facebook which enables the game studio to integrate Facebook Live into all of its games on PC. This will allow the players to stream any Blizzard game on Facebook Live. Games like Overwatch, Diablo and Hearthstone can now be streamed easily directly to the live stream. This partnership was announced in June this year and it has finally gone live now.

Huawei is one of the fastest growing mobile companies on the planet and it’s already a major player in China’s mobile market. The company has inked a partnership with Truecaller which will see its called ID and smart phone book app pre-installed on tens of millions of Huawei handsets. Truecaller’s features include a crowdsourced directory to screen spam calls as well as a smart phone book to find numbers.

Google has already released Android 7.0 Nougat for compatible Nexus devices so it’s up to OEMs and carriers now to get the updates ready and send them out to supported smartphones and tablets. This process can take anywhere from a few weeks to even a full year depending on the device you have. For example, AT&T just released Marshmallow for the Galaxy S5, even though it has been well over a year since this update was released. T-Mobile has now sent out a list of handsets on its network which will receive Nougat in the first wave.
