audio technica ADG1x

When it comes to gaming headphones, gamers are probably more familiar with brands like Turtle Beach, Razer, and Steelseries just to name a few. However it was a couple of years ago that headphone maker Audio Technica got into the gaming headset scene and it looks like they are back with two new models.

These models come in the form of the ADG1x and the AG1x. If you’re wondering why the model numbers look/sound familiar, it is because they are basically improved versions of the company’s ADG1 and AG1 headphones from 2013, so if you liked what you heard then or if you weren’t too thrilled, hopefully these new headsets will be better than before. As cool as headsets like Google Glass would be for everyday use by regular folks, it seems that they might have more use in the industrial side. It was reported that earlier this year that despite Google deciding to discontinue Glass, it still has found a surge in use amongst industrial workers where factory workers for Boeing, Daimler, and UPS found a use for them. hoverboardLast week we reported that in NYC, the state had declared that “hoverboards” were considered illegal and that anyone caught riding them would be subject to a fine. It looks like it didn’t take long for that decision to catch on overseas because now according to reports, it looks like these devices are banned in NSW, Australia.

This was confirmed by roads minister Duncan Gay, “Hoverboards are the hot ticket item on many Christmas wishlists, but we need shoppers to keep safety front of mind before they put their money down. I don’t want to be the Christmas Grinch, but I want people to know and send a message that these new toys have real safety concerns.” Read full post →“Hoverboards” Also Banned In NSW, Australia

I had a close encounter with the Sony XDCam PXW-FS5 at InterBee 2015. Unveiled in September with prototypes, this Super35 camcorder can shoot in 4K in excellent quality and low-noise, thanks to its very good noise-reduction algorithms. The lenses are interchangeable, so you can adapt its use to many different situations. Read full post →Sony XDCam PXW-FS5 4K Camcorder

roland-v1hdPlanned for a December release, Roland’s V-1HD is a 4-input / 1-output video mixing device that is compact and relatively affordable. It can handle up to four 1080p/1080i/720p video sources coming in different formats. Of course, all sources can be mixed, and simple video effects can even be added in real-time, such as picture-in-picture (PiP) or titling. It can also mix videos based on Chroma-key (green screen) which is handy for small video publishers. Read full post →Roland V1HD Video Mixer

Say you’re playing games on the TV in the living room when someone else wants to use the TV to catch up on the news. Instead of stopping your gaming session, if you own the PlayStation 4, you will be able to continue your session by streaming the game onto the PS Vita. But what if you don’t own the PS Vita?

While Sony does not officially support streaming onto the PC (unlike Microsoft’s Xbox One), the good news is that thanks to developer Twisted, there is now an unofficial app that will allow you to do just that. Dubbed Remote PC Play, basically this app will trick the PS4 into thinking that your PC is a recognizable remote play device, thus letting gamers stream their PS4 games onto their PCs. blockr1It isn’t surprising that many websites and companies aren’t a fan of ad blocking software. Recently Yahoo Mail has begun to lock users out of their accounts if the website detects that the user has an ad block extension installed on their computer. It has also been reported that the use of ad blockers has resulted in publishers losing billions.

This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that over in Germany, publisher Axel Springer has sued the developers behind Blockr, an ad blocking app designed for iOS. With the introduction of iOS 9, Apple has allowed apps that basically blocks content from websites, and so far it seems that most of the apps that take advantage of the feature are ad blockers. Buying shoes can be an expensive hobby, especially if you’re really particular about matching your shoes with the rest of your outfit, and if you’re concerned about having a certain look for a certain time.
