Is Microsoft late to the mobile party? Well in some ways yes, but should Microsoft give up and just move on? That remains up for debate, but according to former Microsoft evangelist, Robert Scoble, he thinks that Microsoft should just give up on Windows Phone and embrace Android, which at the moment is the clear and dominant smartphone platform.
According to Scoble who spoke in an interview with GeekWire, “That train has sailed. The real answer is, give up Windows Phone, go Android, and embrace and extend like you did with the Internet. But they don’t listen to me.” He also offered that one of the reasons Microsoft might be slow to change is because they’re a big company that is committee-driven, making them slow.
