DARPA has been working on guided bullets for a while now and in the latest footage released, it shows that their EXACTO bullet will be able to hit moving targets. Basically the idea of guided bullets is to help increase accuracy, especially in conditions that might not necessarily be ideal and would also allow novices to shoot just as much on-point as the professionals.

In the video above, DARPA shows how both the novice and experienced shooter can hit a moving target. However in the case of a more experienced shooter, the EXACTO bullet will also be able to hit actively evading targets as well which is even more impressive. According to Jerome Dunn, DARPA’s program manager, “True to DARPA’s mission, EXACTO has demonstrated what was once thought impossible: the continuous guidance of a small-caliber bullet to target.” Read full post →DARPA’s Guided Bullet Proves It Can Hit Moving Targets

moto-360-smartwatch-review-1Following the launch of the LG Watch Urbane on Google Play, it seems that older Android Wear models are seeing a cut in their prices as well. It has been noted that devices like the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R have had their prices slashed from $250 to $180 for the Moto 360, and $300 to $250 for the LG G Watch R.

So for customers who are after some smartwatches but don’t want to pay too much money for the Apple Watch or the LG Watch Urbane, hopefully these new prices will make them more tempting. While we can’t be sure why Google has decided to reduce the prices of its Android Wear lineup, presumably it is so that more inventory space can be made for newer devices. heroes of the dormWhile there are still some traditionalists who believe that games like football, basketball, hockey, cricket, golf, and etc. are considered “sports”, there are more modern views which have recently considered video games to be a form of competitive sports. In fact there are universities which offer scholarships for being good at sports, and recently gamers have also been granted visas to the US under “pro athlete” status.

Unsurprisingly not everyone is thrilled with this direction and one of those people is ESPN’s Colin Cowherd. Recently ESPN2 provided a two-hour long live coverage of Blizzard’s Heroes of the Dorm tournament which is a competition based on the company’s upcoming Heroes of the Storm MOBA. However it seems that Cowherd wasn’t particularly happy about the coverage and went on a rant. Read full post →ESPN Host Rips Into Live Coverage Of Blizzard’s Heroes Of the Dorm

tamagotchi_apple_watchWe’re not sure how many of you guys remember the Tamagotchi toy from back in the day. For those who are unfamiliar, basically it’s an egg-shaped toy with a display that will show you your “pet”. From there you’d have to feed it, clean up after it, and play games with it to keep it happy, much like you would with a real pet.

While it isn’t as popular as it once was, it seems that Bandai wants to try and recapture the magic by launching an Apple Watch version of the app. Given that the display of the original Tamagotchi is roughly the size of the Apple Watch’s display, if not a bit smaller, we reckon it makes a great fit, not to mention the addition of color will help modernize it a tad. Cheaters are part and parcel of every game, although over the years developers have made it harder for cheaters to cheat, but when there’s a will, there’s a way. Recently Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 was released for the PC and it wasn’t too long before gamers found loopholes and bugs they could exploit that would give them the edge.

YouTuber Pluxar recently came across one such player who used the godmode hack, which as the name implies basically makes that player unkillable. That player, because he/she was unkillable, went on a rampage in Los Santos and tormented other players in the process. Not willing to stand for cheaters, Pluxar decided to do something about it by “torturing” that player. Read full post →Grand Theft Auto 5 Cheater Trolled Until They Rage Quit

skyrim-creationkit-steamworkshop-forblog_v21As you might have heard by now, Valve has decided to put an end to their controversial feature on Steam which allowed modders to sell their creations to other gamers for a price. According to Valve, it seems that they underestimated the different communities of gamers, like those who mod Valve’s own games versus those who mod games of other developers.

So how does Bethesda feel about this? The company was pretty excited about the feature earlier on, but it seems that they took have decided it was not the best course of action. In a blog post on their website, Bethesda issued a statement which hopefully helps clarify the situation for gamers. Read full post →Bethesda Issues Statement On Paid Skyrim Mods

black ops 3The upside to owning a gaming PC and playing games on the PC is that the graphics quality of the game will depend on the hardware of your PC. If you have a high-end rig you can bump the resolution to 4K and still enjoy a buttery-smooth 60fps, but on console it will have to depend on the hardware used by the console maker, as well as how well developers optimize their game for said hardware.

That being said it’s not all bad news. For gamers who are looking forward to Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and was wondering how it would run on their PlayStation 4, you will be pleased to learn that according to the developer, the game will run at a Full HD 1080p resolution on the PS4 while holding a 60fps framerate, although given that the game is still in development these numbers might change later, but hopefully it won’t. bb-passport-whiteWhile BlackBerry might not necessarily be equated with being cool these days, there was a point in time when their handsets were selling like hotcakes, largely thanks to its keyboard design which was surprisingly comfortable to use despite its size, and the fact that BBM offered a form of exclusiveness that other platforms could not get in on.

However these days it’s an entirely different story but it seems that the company is working on bringing “cool” back. Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference, BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen revealed that the company has “something brewing” that would allow them to make the next “cool” phone. skyrim_paid_modLast week Valve launched a new feature on Steam that allowed modders to sell their creations. This led to some controversy as some believed that mods should remain as it is which is largely donation-based. Valve’s Gabe Newell then took to Reddit to state that the company would pull the feature if they deemed it was bad for the community.

We assumed this meant that maybe they would let it run for a couple of weeks or months to see how things would pan out. but that did not happen as Valve has officially pulled the plug on the payments feature for its mods. It seems the issue here has to do with Valve underestimating the differences between the communities based around their own games, like Half-Life, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, and etc., versus that of communities built around other developers’ games, like Skyrim which has it own dedicated modding community. apple_watch_appsAt the start of the month before the launch of the Apple Watch, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook revealed that over a 1,000 apps had been submitted for the Apple Watch, although like we noted at that time, having an app submitted does not mean that it will be approved and put up for sale/download as there are certain requirements that developers have to meet.

So now with the Apple Watch having been launched, how many apps are there at this point in time? Speaking during Apple’s earnings conference call, Cook revealed that the number has since jumped to a whopping 3,500 apps which have been specifically designed for the Apple Watch in mind.
