xperiaz-lollipopsGoogle’s Android mobile operating system does not have a reputation of being rather reserved with the use of its resources, as there has been a bunch of issues that have impacted the eventual user experience already, ranging from battery drainage to memory leaks all this while. Hence, it is with a renewed sense of hope and optimism that users looked forward to the Android 5.x Lollipop update to deliver a far more polished user experience sans any kind of major issues, but it seems that even that wish is not granted with attention being pointed to the issue of battery drain by users.

casio calculatorCasio is an electronics brand that many are probably familiar with. The company has made calculators which many students are still relying on these days, and they have also made watches, like the G-Shock brand, as well as the good old calculator watches (like the one pictured above) from back in the day that used to be banned from being brought into exams.

That being said, it looks like Casio is set to follow some of their fellow watchmakers by entering into the smartwatch market. This is according to a report from The Wall Street Journal who claims that the Japanese company is preparing such a wearable. So what will Casio do to set themselves apart from the competition? BlackBerry-LogoLast year BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen confirmed that the company was working on a new slider phone which we later learnt had the codename “Venice”. It is supposedly a high-end device coming from the Canadian company and it is also expected to be making its way onto AT&T.

This was revealed by a tweet from Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks who stated that the phone is expected to be launched on the carrier. He also confirmed that the handset will be a slider like we have heard in previous rumors, and interestingly enough the Venice will be powered by Android, something which we have been hearing about recently. apple musicWhen Apple introduced Apple Music, one of the features they introduced was the iCloud Music Library which on the surface is similar to iTunes Match – it scans your library to see if there are songs it can match, after which it will let you stream those songs from the cloud onto all your devices.

Sounds simple and convenient enough, doesn’t it? Unfortunately for many users it seems to be more trouble than it is worth. According to multiple user reports, it seems that enabling iCloud Music Library has destroyed the local iTunes libraries of many users, such as needlessly duplicating songs, messing up artwork, screwing up the tags which has resulted in artists and songs being misplaced, and more. s6-duosIn life, some people are far more popular than the others – and it boils down to a sheer number of factors, ranging from serendipity to social class and status, wealth, personality, charisma, timing, the works. I suppose to a certain extent, some smartphones happen to come with everything that you need and are insanely popular, while there are others that seem to be missing that “single” ingredient, despite having just about everything else that is the same. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos can be said to be such a handset – it might not be a prima donna on the high end side of things right now, but if you were to look at its hardware alone, it should be more than adequate for the above average user, but somehow or rather, it has not been the most popular of devices in the market since its release. Still, it is nice to know that the smartphone is well on its way to receive the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update that will surely provide it with additional “legs” in terms of lifespan.

Chevrolet-Active-Phone-Cooling-01Have you ever entered a car that has been baking underneath the sun for a few hours, and you need to get to a different and unknown place via GPS, pronto? Naturally, we would whip out our phones and perhaps launch a navigation program from there, such as Waze.
