We have known for a while now that HBO is working on an over-the-top internet TV streaming service. The cable giant has already confirmed its plans to move into internet streaming in order to capture those cord cutters who just don’t want to pay for a cable subscription. Best Buy today announced that it is reducing the membership price for its Gamers Club Unlocked program. Members of the program get 20 percent off new physical retail games, 10 percent off pre-owned physical titles and 10 percent bonus trade-in credit on games apart from many other privileges. Members pay upfront for a two year membership which was previously priced at $99.99.

In September 2013 Pinterest launched a beta program which showed users promoted pins from a selected group of advertisers in category feeds and search results. This was part of CEO Ben Silbermann’s monetization strategy for the online service which has been around for some five years. Promoted Pins went live for all users earlier this year and now Pinterest is going to test animated ad pins.
