If a leaked asset is any indication then it appears that there might be a sequel in the works for Resident Evil: Revelations. The assest was leaked via Xbox.com and was first spotted by a French gaming website. Leaked asset includes a cover for the title as well as a screenshot. The cover reads “Biohazard: Revelations 2.” Its the same title, Biohazard is just the Japanese name for Resident Evil.

It was back in 2012 when Resident Evil: Revelations was released for the 3DS. Last year an HD version of this title was also released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and the Wii U.

In related Resident Evil news, Capcom announced earlier this month that the 2002 Gamecube remake of the original Resident Evil is being remade again for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC. However Capcom is not saying anything about Resident Evil: Revelations 2. When pressed for comment by Eurogamer, the publisher said that “Capcom has made no announcements.”

For now there’s nothing from Capcom, the official Xbox website doesn’t offer any more details about Resident Evil: Revelations. We’ll keep an eye on this and see if any more information comes up about this title. Obviously its too soon to say if and when this title will be released.
