[CES 2008] Garmin heralds the Forerunner 405 - the newest GPS-enabled fitness device from the company that can be seen at CES 2008. Whether you are a recreational jogger who occasionally pounds the pavement or a season marathon participant, the Forerunner 405 has something for everyone. It can track a runner's speed, distance, heart rate and location accurately and effortlessly, while the revolutionary patent-pending touch bezel on the face of the watch makes navigation a snap. All you need to do is tap, hold or run a finger along the bezel if you want to begin a new workout, access your training history or challenge a Virtual Partner. You even have the choice to adjust the Virtual Partner's pace without having to interrupt your workout by stopping. This water-resistant (IPX7) device will retail for $299 a pop. See how the 405 has changed in terms of design when compared with the Forerunner 305?
