Bulb Hugger Does Its Bit For The Environment
Posted on Jan 22, 09 06:08 PM PDT

Folks who are still using incandescent bulbs ought to make the switch to more energy-saving bulbs, but then again if you can't afford those, we hope that the Bulb Hugger concept will materialize in the real world pretty soon. The Bulb Hugger is, in essence, a thermally charged light which wraps itself around any incandescent bulb. Once the power in the incandescent is turned off (or power is cut), the secondary light will automatically kick in with a maximum of 5 hours (on a full charge, we suppose). Bugs won't find the Bulb Hugger attractive either, since the upper ring holds insect repellent that vaporizes from heat, although we're not sure just how long that can last.
