Ford Sync Turns Your Car Into WiFi Hotspot
Posted on Dec 21, 09 10:24 AM PDT

Ford’s next generation of Sync systems will have a rather useful feature, built-in Wi-Fi. With that in place, you’ll be able to share a 3G connection with a driver-defined white list of devices. You’ll need to bring your own 3G card of course, which you’ll then plug into the Sync’s USB port. With Wi-Fi becoming the norm in households and officers, will it be the next big thing in the auto industry? Check out the full press release here.
