
We wonder just what the folks at Toshiba are smoking when they released the D-VR8K – a device that comes with DVD recording capability alongside VHS functionality. VHS? Isn’t that format dead and buried sometime in the last century? Guess we are all waiting in anticipation for their next release, a Betamax and VHS recorder hybrid device. Well, anyone has ideas on why Toshiba decided to release this, and of all places, in technologically advanced Japan?
