Fujitsu ClearSure technology for added peace of mind

Ever worried about what you would do when your notebook gets misplaced or stolen? Well, Fujitsu’s latest FMV-LIFEBOOK S8390 will come with ClearSure technology that enables data stored within the hard drive to be deleted remotely in the event of loss or theft. This is made possible thanks to a custom communications module that has been integrated into the notebook itself, where the PHS network will enable all data stored within the hard drive to be deleted remotely without the thief knowing any better. Heck, if the notebook within the communication range of the PHS network, all data can be erased for good without having to have the notebook turned on for greater security. The price to pay? $2,291 a pop when it arrives in Japan this September.
