TomTom XXL Series debut

TomTom decided to supersize their GPS devices with the XXL 530S and XXL 540S hitting the market Stateside, where both models come with a 5″ touchscreen display that is a snap to read even if you’re in the backseat. Apart from that, they will carry the more advanced features that most TomTom mapping units have, where user-created data can be found in Map Share while an improved user interface and IQ Routes will alter the route you’re on based on past traffic behavior. The 530S won’t come with any preloaded data, while the 540S has lane guidance, preloaded maps for the entire North America (including Mexico) and 7 million points of interest to get you started. Expect the TomTom XXL 530S and 540S to retail for $280 and $300, respectively.
