Apple Gets Permanent Injunction Against Psystar

After a long and lengthy battle against Apple, it seems that Psystar will finally be knocked out with this latest ruling. Apple has won a permanent injunction against Psystar, and according to the ruling, the company will no longer be able to sell systems running Apple’s OS. Aside from that, Psystar is also banned from “copying, selling, offering to sell, distributing or creating derivative works of Mac OS X without authorization from Apple”. Anything else? Yes, it’s also banned from “intentionally inducing, aiding, assisting, abetting or encouraging any other person or entitiy to infringe on Apple’s copyrighted Mac OS X software.” The final nail on the coffin is that Psystar must meet all these guidelines by Dec 31st 2009, which isn’t all that far away.
