Audio-Technica has just unveiled a new pair of headphones for the masses – the ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint. This on-ear, folding design headphones will utilize the company’s active noise-cancelling technology which relies on miniature integrated microphones to detect environmental noise, followed up by application of a corresponding sound-cancelling signal so that your favorite songs are not disturbed while some renovation is going on nearby at your office block. Other features available on the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC1 QuietPoint comprise of full-range drivers, the ability to operate in passive mode without batteries, a carrying pouch, a 1.6-foot extension cord and an airline adapter. Each $130 purchase will also come with an AAA battery to get you started right out of the box this coming January.
