Acer beTouch E110 approved by FCC

The FCC has given their nod of approval for the Acer beTouch E110, where this Android-powered smartphone will play nice with AT&T’s 3G network (850/1900 MHz), albeit this is no guarantee that it will be launched by AT&T. The handset could very well arrive on Rogers Wireless as well, so stay tuned. For folks who are wondering what the Acer beTouch E110 offers, this entry-level smartphone is equipped with a 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen display, GPS capability, a 3.5mm headphone jack, social networking capability, Acer web widgets support, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 256MB ROM, 256MB RAM and a 416MHz ST Ericsson PNX6715 processor. Expect it to hit European shores from this March onwards, while us living Stateside keep our fingers crossed for a carrier to pick it up.
