Apple intelligent tablet bezel patent

The US Patent and Trademark Office has published a couple of major granted patents which belong to Apple, where among the ground covered include tablets and advanced touch technologies. The first patent of the two point towards an intelligent tablet bezel which boasts either invisible or visible touch areas which can be programmed to react accordingly based on the areas touched. This seems to jive with the rather fat bezel seen on the upcoming iPad, while the other would be a second advanced virtual keyboard and touch based patent which would definitely change the way its devices are used. Will we see such patents in action in version 2 of the iPad?
