If you suddenly take your iPhone out from your pocket, only to notice that the glass display has cracked, you can be sure that your heart would ache at least a little. To fix such a boo boo would generally cost about $200 from Apple, which is more than lunch money for many folks. Mind you we’re talking about the glass on the iPhone, not the actual LCD itself (which would cost a lot more). A 10-year old called Brett actually managed to repair the glass display on his dad’s cracked iPhone with a $22 mail-order kit online, which is more or less 10 percent of what Apple is charging. It’s a commendable feat, and apparently his dad will be keeping the $170 odd dollarsthat he saved for Brett’s college tuition. Have you experienced a cracked display on any of your gadgets before?
