Sony could be counting down to Xperia X10s launch

What’s this? A countdown to a new device from Sony? Clever money says it will be the launch of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smartphone, which is said to roll out alongside carrier partner AT&T. Previous speculation pointed to the Xperia X10 retailing for around $345 for independent dealers, although there is still no official retail pricing just yet. With the teaser claiming that “Smarter is coming”, we do hope that Sony Ericsson lives up to its claims with the Xperia X10. If it were to ship with Android 1.6 as with other Xperia handsets everywhere else, it would be an almighty disappointment considering how backward Android 1.6 is. Even offering a software update in due time might not be enough to entice users to bring home this smartphone then. To have a glimpse of the X10, why not check out our previous unboxing post?
