University of Leeds students to get free iPhones

Who says studying isn’t fun anymore these days? Over 500 medical students at the University of Leeds will be issued with iPhones, and said iOS-powered handsets will be able to access online text books via applications that deliver students with reference material and prescription guidelines. This is the first of its kind for UK medical schools, and these handsets can also be used to keep in touch with students who are currently undergoing training in hospitals. There is one caveat though – all the iPhones will need to be returned when one graduates, so flunking a semester ain’t such a bad idea after all – much to the chagrin of your parents if they’re paying for your education though. Only fourth and fifth year medical students will be given iPhones.
