Sharp intends to make a splash with their latest 3D Blu-ray player – the BD-HP90, which is touted to be the slimmest of its kind in the world. Measuring all of just 35mm thin, you can opt to use it vertically or horizontally – brings back memories of the PS2, doesn’t it? Connectivity options include a USB port, an HDMI interface, Ethernet and AQUOS Link. While it handles 3D Blu-ray discs with aplomb, you must be aware of the fact that it doesn’t support BDXL, which is a shame. Sharp intends to have the BD-HP90 hit Japanese markets from November 20th onwards for $495, although we do not know whether it will arrive outside of the Land of the Rising Sun just yet.
