You’ll be granted useful features such as free turn-by-turn navigation, along with social features such as crowdsourced map updates or navigating to friends. You’ll also be able to purchase add-ons such as traffic and speed camera updates too. Of course, let’s not forget that previous reports speculated that Apple might be working on its own mapping software, though there’s no official confirmation of such a move just yet.
