In the future we probably wouldn’t need supermodels at fashion shows anymore as robots looking exactly like them will probably replace them, and that is already happening over in Japan. Kokoro’s 165cm Actroid robot made an appearance in a kimono at an exhibition hosted at Sanrio’s headquarters over in Tokyo, Japan. The first Actroid was unveiled at the International Robot Exhibition (IREX) in 2003 and Kokoro has since developed several sisters. Despite the official website stating that she sports a “cute expression”, we think that they have a little way to go when it comes to getting the facial gestures just right. What do you think?
