One of the ways a company is able to get through difficult times would be its ability to change and roll with the blows, coming up with “uppercuts” of its own during the crucial moments so to speak – and Lenovo is certainly such a breed. The company recently mentioned that they have set up a dedicated group to making cellphones and tablets, where this section will focus purely on the category for senior level executives. While the majority of devices that roll out from the US-based group would be tablets (the LePad and the IdeaPad Slate, perhaps?), the mobile division will see Lenovo’s former overall product group leader, Liu Jun, spearing the challenge. Does this sound like a copycat move to go up against the Apple iPhone and iPad? Only time will tell, and it is encouraging to see companies move forward along with the times instead of remaining stagnant.
