The Samsung Transform from Sprint has just gotten an unofficial Android 2.2 Froyo port to update the Android 2.1 Eclair which it currently runs on. Of course, that doesn’t mean the hardware specifications of the Samsung Transform has increased in any way – no sir, it will still come with the same 800MHz processor as well as a lower RAM figure. So far, initial impressions of this port seems to be pretty stable, albeit with its fair share of flaws just like what most ports come with – the flash does not work yet, and so is the front facing camera. Of course, the less enthusiastic among you might want to wait for Sprint to release an official Froyo update, but that might not even happen as history has shown us such a thing has happened before.
