Robots these days are getting extremely commonplace, and here we are with the M1 Mobile Manipulator from Meka Robotics, a San Francisco company that was kickstarted by MIT roboticists. The M1 Mobile Manipulator, as it is known, comprises of several in-house components where some of them include an omnidirectional mobile base, optional heads, hands, and sensors, and a height-adjustable torso with compliant limbs. It isn’t going to be the tallest person in the room anytime soon at just 126cm, but boy is it heavy at 165kg! Good luck trying to knock this little fellow over, and don’t kick him when you’re frustrated! Depending on the parts selected, your final price point will vary, but we do know the vanilla model will cost a cool $340,000.
