Have you ever heard of the adage where handwritten notes are so much more meaningful compared to just an e-mail or a typewritten one? Well, usher in the modern age of handwritten notes with the ThankYouPen app that is now available for free over at the Apple App Store. This is touted to be a state-of-the-art iPhone application that is capable of sending handwritten letters as well as greeting cards straight from your compatible iOS device.

Meant for use in both business and personal correspondence, the ThankYouPen app enables one to send letters and greeting cards without going through the old school hassle of heading off to the local post office, pick up a suitable card and then exercise that writing hand (and brain to conjure up the words, of course). 

Instead, all you need to do now is select a recipient from your address book, pick the stationery and type a message. The ThankYouPen team will make sure that the minor details are taken care of, including physically handwriting your message and address. All letters will be stamped and mailed first-class through the postal service. Will this kind of service be able to last? We’re rather skeptical, too, and we do wonder what kind of job descriptions are put up for those folks who write letters…
